Formed in Arizona back in 2007, The Maine released their sixth studio album in the spring of 2017 -- during their tenth year together as a band. Over the years, the band has been labelled as pop, alternative, rock, emo and every style in between. Now, The Maine continue to defy genre stereotypes with their newest album and independent release, Lovely Little Lonely. First single and alt-radio track, "Bad Behavior" dances its way into your head and in true pop fashion, refuses to leave -- making an impact with its catchy hooks. The single also served visually as the band's first music video for the album. The song tethers true to the heart of The Maine's charm -- frontman John O'Callaghan's writing style -- packaging it together as poetic pop. The album pushes into rock boundaries with tracks like "Do You Remember" while the haunting "Black Butterflies & Deja Vu" uses much softer vocals. Cohesively, the album flows together as the perfect natural evolution from their last full length, American Candy. The band allowed the fans a unique look into the creation of this record with an online web series following the studio process. The Maine continues to redefine what it means to be a band nowadays, proven when they started the year by hosting their very own music festival. Since its release, the band spent most of the year on their own headliner the "Lovely Little Lonely World Tour" -- bringing their live show to life in several different continents worldwide. The Maine is John O'Callaghan, Pat Kirch, Jared Monaco, Garrett Nickelsen, and Kennedy Brock.
Los Angeles-based indie rock band The Wrecks root from Thousand Oaks, CA. The group consists of Nick Anderson (vocals/guitar), Nick Schmidt (guitar), Harrison Nussbaum (guitar), Aaron Kelley (bass), and Billy Nally (drums). Heavily influenced by groups such as The Pixies, The Strokes, Weezer, and Vampire Weekend, this 5-piece isn't afraid to blend undeniably catchy choruses, with lyrics and vocals that have an underlying substance and a certain quirk that give them their young, signature sound.
The band actually recorded their upcoming debut EP on a whim, alongside friend and engineer Andrew D’Angelo, when they were surprised with the news that a friend had been granted access to a studio for just a few days. With a total budget of $0, and only a week as a band under their belts, the group set out to record the best songs that they could in 3 days. After working ridiculous hours through the night, and to the next day whenever they could get in the studio, the 3 days were over and the EP was cut. Little did the band know, they were not even allowed to be in the studio that week. So through feelings of guilt and worry, they cleaned every bit of information of theirs from the studio computer, every crumb of Dominoes from the studio couch, and they were off with their entire EP on an hard drive in a backpack.
On March 18th, 2016 The Wrecks released their first single Favorite Liar. “Catchy and reeking of mischief, “Favorite Liar” is their first single. It’s nostalgic, it’s punchy, it hits all the right builds.” - Infectious Magazine
American rock band The Technicolors started off as the brainchild of Phoenix-native Brennan Smiley.
The formation of the band itself started back when Smiley was acoustically supporting other local music acts by performing his songs live. After a few shows, the project began to grow and soon turned into a more serious approach, taking on the form of The Technicolors.
Inspired by the New Millennium’s garage rock and mid 90's Brit-pop, The Technicolors combine elements of those two genres with classic and modern components and subject matters to introduce a completely new and exclusive sound.
Today, The Technicolors is Brennan Smiley (Vocals, Guitar), Troy Lowney (Keys), Mike (Nico) Nicolette (Bass), and Sean Silverman (Guitar, Vocals).
