Freddy & Francine, Erin Wallace

Freddy & Francine

Freddy & Francine, or, as they’re known to family and friends, Lee Ferris and Bianca Caruso, have built a career that’s been intertwined with their feelings for both their music and each other. They began in early 2008 shortly after meeting as cast members of a 2008 Hollywood Met Theatre production of "HAiR", teaming up to embark upon what would become a series of late night songwriting sessions. Though the songs created from these sessions were originally intended for the duo’s respective solo performances, it became abundantly clear that these co-creations should be performed in tandem. The duo’s new album, aptly entitled Gung Ho, offers a celebration of sorts, one that not only finds the couple reunited after going their separate ways, but also on the verge of ascending the next plateau. Echoes of Lone Bellow, the Civil Wars and the Swell Season are apparent in its grooves, but the inspiration, originality and enthusiasm are obviously their own.

Erin Wallace

Erin Wallace can usually be seen fronting Portland bands The Sentiments, The Sportin' Lifers, or her recent independent project Wallace. But every once in a while she breaks out on her own, reaching back to her acoustic roots. Erin started her musical career busking for tips in the public market in her hometown of Vancouver, BC. Her soulful voice stands on its own, and her catchy, crafty songwriting pulls from soul, blues, rock and folk traditions.
