The Wind + The Wave
In 2014, The Wind and The Wave, a duo from Austin, TX, quietly released one of the best albums of the year. From The Wreckage glowed with a rootsy golden tone that encompassed everything from indie-folk, to alt-country to blues-rock to Southern psychedelia. Its creators, touring musician turned songwriter and producer Dwight Baker and singer-songwriter Patty Lynn, began making music together on a lark, never dreaming anything would come of it. Baker describes it as “kind of like what happens when two friends hold hands and jump in a freezing lake just to see what it feels like.” Thanks to the undeniable chemistry between the pair, the music took on a life of its own and The Wind and The Wave soon found themselves with a major-label record deal, embarking on U.S. headlining tours supporting From The Wreckage, having their songs appear in such TV shows as Grey’s Anatomy, and racking up millions of plays on Spotify and Apple Music. The band also earned itself a rabid following, with fans especially enamored of Lynn’s feisty vocals and brutally personal lyrics about challenging relationships with lovers and family members as well as her relationship with herself. “People really treasure that album,” Baker says. “We got tons of letters from people saying it saved their life. They're people who are conflicted and searching and they connect with Patty’s lyrics more than anything.”
We Are The West
A convergence of sound and space, Los Angeles-based We Are The West are dedicated song-stylists who have developed a uniquely immersive approach to performance. Brett Hool [voice/guitar] and John Kibler [bass/voice] formed We Are The West in a shipping container on a sheep farm in Holland, and began performing as a duo in an abandoned convent in Brooklyn, before moving back to California. Originally described as "a two-man orchestra of stunning vocals, meditative guitar, and exploratory double bass" [ABQ Journal], the group now includes an extended family of musicians with Elizabeth Goodfellow [drums/voice], Sylvain Carton [clarinet/saxophone], Ben Tolliday [cello], Joe Kennedy [keys], Paul Cox [organ], and Mathias Künzli [percussion].

Haley Johnsen is not one to miss: she is a one-of-a-kind voice with gusto, soul, and mesmerizing presence. One of the Pacific Northwest's most individual up-and-coming acts. Her sound is strong, percussive, and inviting, with impeccably crafted lyrics of a strong woman with an affected but unbreakable heart. 2014 saw the release of Through the Blue, a seven-track EP that grapples with the process of love lost and life thereafter. 2016 gave the release of her soul inspiring single, "Feel the Water," which has been given local airplay on KINK.FM and Portland Radio Project
Over the last few years since her time as a top 24 finalist on American Idol on Season 11, Haley has earned local and national attention taking her impactful solo show on recent 2017 US tours with Austin Texas based band The Wind and the Wave, Seattle based band Gabriel Wolfchild and the Northern Light, and Season 8 Winner of the Voice, Sawyer Fredericks. Haley also has the capacity to take her shows up to eleven with her 6 piece versatile rock band, which is most representative of her recorded music.
Ready to share her sophomore EP with the world, When You Lit the Sky is a soulful helping of blues and pop songwriting with nostalgic arrangements, and a window into the great passions of an artist whose dynamic vocals soar and whose heart is eternally, vulnerably, human. Haley successfully funded this project with the help of her fans through Kickstarter.
