Gettin' Higher Choir

The Gettin’ Higher Choir is a 280+ member choir that embodies the idea that singing is our birthright and that all voices can sing beautifully in harmony. Founded in 1996 by Siobhan Robinsong, this is the choir’s 21st annual concert for The Power of Hope.

Greg Greenway is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter from Boston whose work with the trio Brother Sun enthralled crowds at the 2015 Vancouver Island MusicFest. His passionate songs of life, love, justice and freedom are described as having the soul of Pete Seeger and the musicianship of Bruce Cockburn.

two benefit concerts for The Power of Hope

The choir will perform a variety of joyful and soul-nourishing songs, from the works of Canadian and American singer-songwriters to contemporary English folk music to the driving rhythms of Pentatonix.

Greg Greenway will present a solo set of his own songs, and be joined by the choir on a few more, including his powerful anthem “In the Name of Love”.
