Since 2011, Aaron Marshall (aka Intervals) has been Canada's premier ambassador of progressive, instrumental guitar music. From 2012's staple EP In Time through 2015's highly acclaimed The Shape of Colour, Aaron has consistently been the voice of instrumental, guitar driven rock/metal from the north. The new record The Way Forward represents the natural evolution of Aaron's sound, effortlessly melding high energy riff driven rock, with lush, ethereal soundscapes, whilst consistently driving home memorable, thought provoking hooks. In 2016, Aaron toured in support of The Shape of Colour, headlining across North America and also as direct support to instrumental metal alumni, Animals As Leaders across Europe and North America. While becoming a household name in instrumental, guitar driven music, Intervals is poised to ascend beyond the glass ceiling in support of The Way Forward.
Jason Richardson(born July 30th 1991), is one of the most note worthy, young and upcoming virtuosic guitar players to date. After being accepted to Berklee College of music and receiving a partial scholarship, Richardson had the opportunity during his senior year of high school to start touring the world at the young age of 17 with the metal band All Shall Perish. He took the opportunity dropping out of high school and hasn’t turned back since. As time passed he went on to play/write with internationally touring metal bands such as Born of Osiris and Chelsea Grin. Having moved on from all those bands Richardson is now pursuing a solo career. He successfully released his first album entitled ” I ” on July 29th 2016. The entire album
features the talents of world renowned drummer Luke Holland, guest solos from many amazing guitarists such as Rick Graham, Nick Johnston, Mark Holcomb of the grammy nominated band Periphery, Jacky Vincent of Cry Venom and Jeff Loomis of Arch Enemy. There are also two songs with vocal performances from Spencer Sotelo of Periphery and Lukas Magyar of Veil of Maya. ” I ” debuted at #1 on Billboard new artists/Heat Seekers charts, #2 on iTunes rock and #11 on all of iTunes with 7,200+ units sold worldwide in its first week. The album was crowd funded raising $33k+ and released independently with no label support.
Forming in 2012, Night Verses have enjoyed a break-out year including the release of the Kris Crummett produced "Out of the Sky" EP, the debut of the Dannel Escallon directed video for "Be Happy With Yourself, I'm Staying Here In Hell", and a run of concert dates on both U.S. coasts and across the U.K. Their virtuosic attention to detail and progressive approach to groove are being universally lauded as a fresh new sound, paying homage to decades of influences while managing to retool their roots into bold originality. Rock Sound's Andy Ritchie described the new comers as already displaying as much "dynamism and energy as most bands put into their entire careers."
Defined by a disciplined work ethic that makes them truly prolific, vocalist Douglas Robinson, guitarist Nick DePirro, bassist Reilly Herrera, and drummer Aric Improta are currently composing music for a 2013 release to be followed by extensive touring. Only choosing to record that which they can recreate live, any listener starving for authenticity will appreciate the visceral intricacy of their aesthetic. Night Verses' sophisticated and deliberate approach assumes a level of intellectuality of the listener, while at the same time begging the listener to simply let go and share a moment in time together. Hungry and emboldened Night Verses are creating a body of work simply not to be ignored.
