RÓSA formed in early 2016. The first four songs written became their debut effort, Gypsy Queen, a refreshing synthesis of 80's pop and modern indie rock. After headlining LA's prestigious Bootleg Theater and It's A School Night at Bardot in Hollywood, the band took a short break to record their sophomore EP Wasteful in Santa Monica. Evolving stylistically by incorporating more rhythm into their sound, RÓSA further established their own path within the indie pop sphere. With a third EP "The Taste of Another" slated for release on 2/23 and their debut full length in the works, RÓSA is eager to reach new ears & eyes starting with the release of their lead single "Stranger". Their headline at The Satellite on 2/23 will celebrate the arrival of their third EP endeavor with a set that's sure to thrill.
Born out of Los Angeles bedroom, Laureline blends singer-songwriter roots and synth pop to create an atmosphere of both feeling and escape; love and loss. Having played their first few shows late 2017, the band is currently wrapping up their debut singles, looking to release early 2018.
Drinker is the recording project of singer / songwriter Aaron Mendelsohn and producer / composer Ariel Loh. Based in LA and New York, the bi-coastal duo creates "meticulously crafted" (DIY Magazine) music that has been described as "downtempo psych-pop" (The Line Of Best Fit). Their collaborative efforts meet in either cities, where they bring their individual songwriting and production together. Their 2017 debut EP "Happy Accident" gained support from KCRW, Spotify, as well as rising to the top 10 on the Hype Machine popular charts.
The live show opens the sound up to a 4 piece outfit based in Los Angeles. Bobby Danubrata on guitar, Emily Tooraen on synth, bass and vocals, and Josh Harris on drums.
Their upcoming full length "Fragments" explores the idea of experiences in our lives as individual entities scattered across our existence, and faced with the constant challenge of piecing it back together. The 9-track album pushes their sound into new territories while embracing cinematic and electronic dance elements, all the while grounded in minimal and intricate arrangements. The record is due out in fall of 2018.
