1. A universal life force.
2. A cosmic unit of energy, the creative force in nature.
3. A soul music juggernaut with 8 heads and one heart.
Now and always, Orgōne delivers dirty, organic, California soul with heart; music that grabs you by the collar, pulls you to your feet and shoves you wantingly onto the dance floor. It all started with two kids from the San Fernando Valley, whose shared affinity for gritty soul records of the 60s and 70s collided with the colorful music cultures brewing in Los Angeles during the late 90s. That friendship sparked a movement, and Orgōne has been delivering nothing but gold to the funk faithful ever since.
“We intend our music to have an inhibition-canceling effect,” founding guitarist Sergio Rios explains. “It speaks to those who may have wallflower tendencies encouraging everyone to own the freakiness that lives inside them, and enjoy the spotlight for a little while. Sometimes it takes a nudge to let go and get on the dance floor. And sometimes it takes a big 'ol push... a love shove, if you will. And we're well versed in those."
Fearless vocalist Adryon de León elevates the octets soulfulness to intoxicating new levels on Orgone's latest studio album, Beyond The Sun. Dubbed "stank face inducing glory" by Okayplayer, the record is a lightning rod of inspiration for a new generation of funk music lovers. Following the 45 release in April of “I Sold My Heart to the Junkman” featuring Cyril Neville, Orgone plans to drip steamy new singles one by one into the world throughout 2017.
Object Heavy started off as the house band at The Jambalaya in Northern California and quickly evolved into a working band performing their original take on soul, funk and hip hop while also backing many different extraordinary artists like MC Raashan Ahmad and Chali 2na as well as Blues Traveler front man John Popper and James Brown and Parliament Funkadelic band leader Fred Wesley.
The band continues to grow their ever evolving dynamic with their second album set to rbe released in the spring of 2017 featuring such great artists as Skerik, DJ Logic, Raashan Ahmad, Fred Wesley, John Popper and many more. After touring up and down the pacific northwest for the past two years, Object Heavy has its sights set on broadening its fanbase up and down the west coast and midwest as well as east coast this in 2017.
Don't miss the highly contagious funk and infectious soul of one of Northern Cali's most prolific and entertaining band Object Heavy as they embark on a tour near you.
