Resound: A Benefit for TSO

Leigh Lesho & The Night Lights

Leigh Ann Lesho is a singer/songwriter and Tucson native, who has worn many different hats in this life. Some might think she were kidding if she rattled off her seemingly random resume, that in addition to musician, includes things such as collegiate and professional softball pitcher, casting assistant for MTV's “The Real World”, “Road Rules”, “Making The Band”, and FOX’s “Love Cruise”, radio DJ, yoga teacher, yoga studio & retail boutique owner, artist, philanthropist, spiritual activist, asst. manager and bookkeeper for her dad's electrical contracting company, and much more. As random as these roles may seem, Leigh would assure you that she has always had a clear vision of her life's purpose and deeper intention behind all of her actions. There is a common thread that's connecting the dots and she prefers writing and singing about it rather than explaining it in conversation. She's been passionate about singing from as early as she can remember, she started writing songs in grade school, and has been processing life in her head as a soundtrack ever since. She began to teach herself to play the guitar in middle school to expand her songwriting ability, but says she was still mostly a "closet musician" until her college years when she finally began to step-out and share her original music with a few friends and family who strongly encouraged her to continue.

Leigh's been slowly but steadily working on the full-length debut album “444” over the past year and a half with her friend Oscar Fuentes at TucSound Studios, who is the recording engineer and producer of the project. With a variety of instruments and a range of musical styles, this album offers a stunning balance of mellow and upbeat tempos that will appeal to many different tastes. Leigh's sultry and captivating vocals serve as a smooth vehicle for her beautifully written, thought provoking lyrics that create a window into her life experiences. She has a unique style and way with lyrics and phrases that makes it easy to bend genres and pull the listener in. It's evident that she's had these songs bottled up for some time and now they're about to explode onto the world music scene. With her clear, bright voice and a message that she is not afraid of sharing, Leigh Lesho leaves listeners feeling enlightened, inspired, slightly wiser, and a bit more powerful than before.

The album "444" is officially being released on February 6th, 2016 with a special showcase at Club Congress. She and her band, which includes Oscar Fuentes, Erik Truelove, John June, Greg Robinson, and Nick Walker, will be preforming the album in its entirety. Doors open at 7:00 with the sweet folksy sounds of Leila Lopez and Christabelle Merrill who will kick off the night. Tickets are $5. The first copies of the CD and other merchandise will be available for sale.
