LA Wood, began her love of music at a very early age, on music boxes, piano and guitar in second grade, eventually teaching all her classmates at Marymount School in Washington, DC,. She started her first band in Saratoga Springs, NY at age 19 and began her professional career as a musician at Caffe Lena.. She released her first EP "Summit House" soundtrack that was aired on PBS networks and was named a finalist in the Bob Hope Search for the Top in Collegiate Talent in NYC and Acoustic Underground in Boston, MA where she penned "South Station Slide". She is also an accomplished Latin Percussionist who has performed with Ritchie Havens, Shannon and countless others. She was a "Rockrgrrl" in Seattle, WA, artist on Indiegrrl Records, voted in to Guitargirls CD Compilation produced by Lynn Carey Saylor and since has been performing In Key West, at Blue Heaven, The Pier House and the Grand Key Resort. In October, she will perform at the 2013 Malibu Music Awards and Festival in CA.
