Blue Moon Fever: A Celebration of the Music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Blue Moon Fever: A Celebration of the Music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

When Tom Petty died on October 2, 2017, the world lost one of rock n' roll's most dynamic frontmen and iconoclastic songwriters way too soon! For one night only, five NYC-based musicians will band together as BLUE MOON FEVER to perform a passionate set of classics by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Also featuring Brooklyn's No. 2 Weezer cover band, THE UNDONE SWEATERS with legendary NYC radio host MARK AFTER DARK spinning tunes between sets, all of the proceeds from this special night will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Consisting of Lonny Friedland (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, mandolin), Matthew DeSteno (lead guitar, vocals), Josh Steinhart (keyboards, acoustic guitar, vocals), Devin Lavery (bass), and Luigi Gennaro (drums, vocals); these NYC-based musicians have come together for this one special night as Blue Moon Fever to pay tribute to the life and music of Tom Petty and donate the proceeds to the American Cancer Society.

The Undone Sweaters

The Undone Sweaters (Danny Tamberelli, Andrew Short, Jim Tews & Reid Faylor) are Brooklyn’s number two Weezer tribute band. They would’ve been number one, but they refused to learn the entire catalog. They’re rule breakers, punk rock, if you will. Their live show is one of a kind, combining short, live sketches, funny visuals, and actual musicianship.

+ Mark After Dark (DJ)

The MARK AFTER DARK SHOW is a radio show combining talk, comedy, interview, and discussion of the on-going history of great music. Known as "The Man Who Hates Everything, Except the Real Thing!”, Mark is a walking rock n' roll encyclopedia, and a life-long devoted fan of hard driving, straight ahead rock in all its many forms. His off-the-cuff, straightforward interviews with artists from the past as well as the present, offer refreshing insight into the music of today and yesterday while leading fans on a high-octane, late night road trip of riffs and rhythms; an all-night drive to a rock concert with a dedicated and informed music aficionado at your side. For the past two years, he's hosted the Mark After Dark show on 89.1 WFDU at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
