Gateway Drugs

Los Angeles natives Gateway Drugs formed in early 2012, basing their name and druggy sound on a concept of bringing a state of sonic hysteria and loss of control to a wider audience. The band was formed by siblings Liv, Noa, and Gabe Niles, all contributing lead vocals and different instrumentation on different songs. The quintet was rounded out by vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Blues Williams, and Zak Hudson. The band released several tracks and demos online for several years while playing out to larger and larger audiences in the L.A. area. It's no small feat that they've already opened for the likes of Jesus and Mary Chain, Ride, Swervedriver, The Soft Moon, and Black Ryder . In 2015 the group's debut full-length, Magick Spells, was released and the band was slated to open for shoegaze legends Swervedriver on a U.S. tour directly following the release.
