It Lies Within, My Heart To Fear

It Lies Within

IT LIES WITHIN started making their dent on the scene in 2008 with their new line-up and different style. After quickly earning an opening slot for a few National Acts at their hometown venue The Machine Shop, ILW immediately hit the studio to track their 2009 release "Fears of Yesterday." Recorded with Dreadcore Productions (Joshua Wickman: Within the Ruins, And Hell Followed With, Knights of the Abyss) and Cloud City Studio's (Nick Morris, Walls of Jericho, As They Sleep, The Black Dahlia Murder) this EP was dead set in the right direction from the start. This EP differed from many Metalcore styles at the time with a "positive message" and having many harmonic leads, solo's, and powerful chorus's. Recently signing with Luxor Records October 31st, 2011, they immediately went back in the studio to record their first full length album "Chrysalis." The album is hair raising and displays the bands originality, maturity, and development.

Making a name for themselves in the Midwest, the group sold over 3,000 copies and counting of "Fears of Yesterday" on their own! This was a direct reflection of their relentless efforts to tour as much as possible. It Lies Within has played many large festivals and events including Rockapalooza, Bledfest, and The Carnival of Chaos. Creating such a buzz the title track "Fears of Yesterday" was featured on Nickelodeon's and Mtv 2's TV Series "Shreducation" season 2 and the new single "Home is Where the Heart is" has already been featured on radio stations Banana 101.5, 89X, WRIF 101, and many college stations across the country.

This life long group of friends are on a non-stop path to shed a different light on the Metal scene. Because of this diversity they are a very entertaining group. Having toured over 33 states and selling over 6,000 copies combined; this is the band to watch!

Completely owning 2013, It Lies Within played numerous sold-out shows with The Devil Wears Prada, All That Remains, We Came As Romans, Attack! Attack!, Texas in July, Times of Grace, War of Ages, Chiodos and Asking Alexandria. Their first full length Luxor Records release "Chrysalis" was released Sept. 4th, 2012 and is Out Now on ITunes and Stores near you!

My Heart To Fear

Hailing from the same geographic region and musical circles that spawned a number of Metalcore successes in recent years, like AUGUST BURNS RED, TEXAS IN JULY and THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE, can put pressure on a band to “borrow.” While a less confident band may look to steal a page or two out of those artists’ playbooks, MY HEART TO FEAR are intent on forging their own sound. The band will release their new Full Length Album early 2013 through Solid State Records.

Candor

Faith-based hardcore band from Macclenny, Fl

GFM (also known as "Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh" or theGFMband) is an all-female Christian metal/Beautycore band from St. Johns, Florida. Comprised of a trio of sisters, GFM infuses positive, youthful energy into traditional hard rock styling. They have introduced a new genre to the music world by the name of Beautycore which is a mix of hard rock and metalcore, played exclusively by women. The group’s family ties inherently developed a tight musical bond, though GFM didn’t officially begin touring until 2014. Since then, GFM has been sought out for both religious and secular events throughout the Southeast, playing festivals such as Rock the Tarmac, A Not So Silent Night, community events and traditional venues like the iconic Jacksonville Landing.

Sixteen-year-old CJ shines as the band’s lead guitarist and shares vocals with fifteen-year-old Maggie, who rocks dual instruments on bass and keys. The youngest of the group, twelve-year-old Lulu, anchors the band with an intensity on drums that is way beyond her years.

GFM’s edgy sound resonates in the familiar dark corners of its heavy metal genre; but with influencers like Skillet and We As Human, GFM’s lyrics shine with a universal light. Through their individual journeys, GFM manages to blur the lines of the Christian sub-culture, reaching both conservatives and listeners beyond the devout. Drawing its name from the original gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, GFM proves that while the guitar’s distorted, the message is clear – the mission is the music.

GFM is currently wrapping up studio work on their first original EP, Death of Giants. “Darkness”, the album’s debut single, is slated for release in December 2015.
