Easy Bass

Welcome to the deep end! Easy Bass will show you the basics of bass theory and technique while you play along with fun bluegrass, country, folk, and blues songs and tunes. You’ll learn some great songs as you discover how to use the root-fifth technique, plus variations, in the most commonly played keys. You’ll also learn some classic bass runs and enough theory to start creating your own. This class is open to all bass instruments: upright bass, guitar bass, electric bass (bring a small amp), and ukulele-style basses, so we’ll cover right- and left-hand technique on all instruments. This class is good for newbies as well as occasional players.
