Spare Change Trio
Spare Change Trio radiates a carefree island atmosphere with tight drums and energizing bass lines, while their iconic rock drive steers the musical journey with awe-inspiring guitar riffs and vintage vocal harmonies.
Known largely for their eclectic live performances that incorporate the Australian didgeridoo into flowing soundscapes of reggae, funk, blues, and jazz-fusion, SC3 consistently leaves audiences wanting more. Deeply rooted in the positive message of reggae music, the band has grown to realize their calling: to spread peace, love, and harmony… all the while laying down an infectious groove.
The band’s 2015-16 tour highlights include: Shangri-La, Fungus Fest, Summerfest, and Merging Madison Music Festival, as well as making their way around the Midwest at venues such as the Bootleg at Atomic Cowboy (St. Louis), the Door County Brewery, The Miramar Theater (Milwaukee), and the High Noon Saloon (Madison). In addition, SC3 has opened for national touring acts including The Wailers, Aaron Kamm & the One Drops, and The Jauntee.
SC3 is currently recording their debut full length album, ‘Higher and Stronger’. The album is focused around the organic growth and development of their recently released EP, ‘Plant the Seed’.
