Keithmas VIII – A Foodbank Fundrager
For the eighth consecutive year Hidden Charms Presents and the people of Vancouver will be joining together to celebrate the birth of the main offender himself, aka Keef aka one half of the Glimmer Twins aka the human riff, Mr. Keith Richards. And let’s not forget about that other holiday too…Christmas.
Keithmas began in 2010 as a dumb idea for a party and from there it has gone on to become a local holiday tradition while at the same time raising over $40,000 and counting for the Vancouver Foodbank. It has spawned epic hang-overs, stories that can’t be told and countless memories (or lack thereof).
2017 will continue this tradition with even more Jack Daniels, possibly a RS Lips Logo piñata and among the many bands that will grace the stage this year we are extremely excited for the Keithmas debut of Vancouver power-pop legends The Pointed Sticks! And Rich Hope is threatening to do an all 80’s era Stones set which is a bold move if we say so ourselves.

The Pack A.D.
Destruction and melody, acid wit and bruising vocals-this is the Pack A.D. Singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller have made a sound so gigantic, so fierce and raw and empowering, that it's easy to forget there are just two people behind this brilliant, carefully constructed havoc. Shredding and pounding their way through every song, the Pack A.D. swallows you whole inside their fearless Franken-blend of heavy psychpop/garage-rock. Their lyrics are wild nests, human and complex: darkly funny disclosures about depression; indictments of digital excess; grief-stricken fire bombs; sly crusades against stupidity.
Pointed Sticks are a Canadian punk band from Vancouver. Originally active from 1978 to 1981, they reunited to perform in 2006 and have remained together since then. The band continue to make vinyl records. The latest self titled LP will be released in 2015.
La Chinga is a stoner boogie power trio sitting on the world’s edge in Vancouver, Canada. Drawing from Sabbath, Zep, the MC5 and their own superbad habits, La Chinga has established a beachhead in Europe after several tours and with Detroit’s Small Stone records and a penetrating buzz across Canadian campus radio. The band’s is about to release their 3rd album 'Beyond The Sky' to their wild fans who scream, shout, party and wonder why they don’t make ‘em like this anymore.
Elliot C. Way & The Wild North
The Bad Beats
Born from the sweat, swoon and swagger of the long running East Van Soul Club, the group’s reverence for Northern Soul all-nighters and storming Motown hits is measured in nods, not knock offs.
