Two Faces West
Two Faces West is a crankin' electric blues band that was founded in the small, beautiful mountain town of Gunnison, Colorado. They established a tight power trio over their years at Western State Colorado University, with a goal of sharing their unique rockin’ mountain sound with the world. In the Fall of 2015, the trio relocated to the mile high city, where they have burst into the Denver music scene.
Within a year of their move to the front range, they have performed at several major festivals including FIBArk in Salida, The Greeley Blues Jam, the Denver Underground Music Showcase, Kansas' annual Tumbleweed Festival, and have become one of Denver’s premier live bands! Their music is described as a fiery blend of rock & blues, which focuses on the roots of blues while expressing its core in pure rock’n’roll, and topping it off with a touch of funk.
KingFriday the 13th
KingFriday the 13th is a 5-piece exploratory jam rock group out of Denver, CO. On drums, Jay Van Kleeck brings a serious groove to the table, drawing influences from Chris Adler to Dennis Chambers. He provides a solid backbone to each jam with his pocket, and is the ever-present anchor to the music. His partner in crime is bassist Zach Martin. Zach was brought up by two classical working musicians in Rhode Island orchestras, and has been playing in various outfits all his life. His musical relationship with Jason provides the base layer for thoughtful, tactfully-constructed improvisation. Ryley is the death punch of the band. His searing, razor tone is pulled from a strong (and somewhat creepy) Frank Zappa influence. His lead playing stands out and offers incredible peaks and valleys for each piece. Davey Jones plays rhythm guitar and provides vocals. He writes many of the lyrics, set to Ryley’s compositions. He is also stunningly handsome and may blind people if stared at directly for too long.
The band met via a serendipitous stroke of luck. Having moved to Colorado a few months earlier with the intention of joining the local music community, Davey was sitting at work one day and randomly hopped on Craigslist in search of like-minded musicians. He responded to an ad Jason and Ryley had put up not 10 minutes before, so they spoke and decided to meet up. Davey then brought in Zach (since they were friends and had been in bands together at UVM) and the rest kind of just... happened.
Now active in the Denver music scene, they're bringing their unique brand of aggressive funk to venues near you!
Justin Long and Elliott Olbright forged a relationship because of comparable dedication and contrasting skills. Chewy&Bach build a grass roots artists community around them through the Colorado Artists Underground because they believe we must rise together and that their unique sound will stand above the others with hard work.
Silver and Smoke
Colorado grown Blues Rock band. Defining the genre of "Western Rock," Silver and Smoke incorporates vocal harmonies, hard-driving blues, wailing guitar solos, a stampede of drums, and a driving beat. Our lyrics are often traditional, and invoke a feel of the rivers and mountains, the beauty and infinite possibility of the west, and the life of a musician.
A tennis racket... this was Martin Gabriel's first guitar as a child with an undeniable pull towards music. Martin Gabriel, also known as Martin Gabriel Case, has come a long way from the 5 year old that dreamt of stardom in the music world. His talent lies in singing, playing guitar and writing personal beautifully crafted, and vulnerable songs that are inspired by his own life and experiences, which are anything but ordinary as the adopted, youngest of 11 children. Gabriel's acoustic/indie rock style possesses a kind of pop sensibility, lending his music to diverse audiences. HIs melodic sound is similar to that of Pete Yorn, Elliot Smith, The Fray and the like. His influences are vast, ranging from Joshua Radin, The Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins and Pink Floyd.
