A Night of Comedy: Adel Alizadeh & Paul Spratt

Adel Alizadeh

Adel Alizadeh is an Iranian comedian with some Caucasian Persuasion. Originally from New Orleans, Adel has been in NYC comedy scene for over four years. He has a freelance column called, “Hype or HighQ” for High Times Magazine. He placed 3rd “Trial By Laughter” comedy festival on NBC’s Comcast in 2015, and performs regularly at clubs in NYC...and now he feels like he's bragging so he will stop. No one is more ashamed of his "career" in comedy than his father, and Adel considers that to be his greatest achievement. The only thing Adel hates more than being asked, "You're name is Adel? Like the singer?"... Is writing in the third person.

Paul, born in Boston but grew up in Pennsylvania, brings a unique and different outlook to the world he lives in through his comedy. Knowing both the crowded city life and the quiet country life, he has contrasting views on everything happening in his life and the world around him. Paul brings an honesty-- a truthful, in your face kind of honesty--about what a lot of us take for granted in the everyday world: Comedy therapy, where he says what you were always thinking.
Paul loves donating to charity events, running, and working his own events for one of his favorite charities B4BC.org where he's raised over $10,000 for breast cancer.

Rising through a relatively unknown comedy scene in Scranton, PA, Paul is now an up-and-coming comic in the New York city scene. He can be seen working in a lot of the clubs in the tri-state area and also placed high in some well regarded comedy competitions and festivals:
-- Mulit-time semi-finalist in the March Madness Comedy competition at the Stress Factory Comedy Club
-- Laughing Skull Comedy Festival
-- Winner of New Jersey's funniest comic at the Stress Factory
-- Semi Finalist in Helium's Philly's Phunniest
-- Semi-Finalist in Last Comix Standing at Comix at Foxwoods
-- Winner of Wisecrackers comedy competition
-- Semi- Finalist in the Comedy Cabaret comedy competition
-- Cape May Comedy Festival

Paul regularly opens on the road for comic Joe Matarese, and has opened for Dom Irrera, Dave Attell, and many more.
