Steal Your Peach
We are a mixture of some of the best and hardest working musicians in the Philadelphia area specializing in the music of The Allman Brothers Band, while also blending songs of the Grateful Dead, and blues, funk, and reggae style classics too depending on the occasion. Each of us has multiple projects currently both original and not, but have formed a bond here with some of our favorite and most influential music, paying close attention to detail of all of the original music, while also incorporating the fire of our own improvisational musical contributions to create a very tangible symbiotic experience between the band and the listeners. There is nothing like coming back to pay homage to the music that inspired us all to play.
Squaring The Circle
Squaring The Circle, hailing from Baltimore, MD, is an organic original Jazz, Blues, and Funk quartet with a taste for the experimental jam.
Featuring musicians from Freedom Enterprise, Lake Trout, and Sol Frequency, Squaring The Circle takes the musical lessons learned from countless miles on the road and forms a formidable musical amalgamation of all our former bands along with the masters of Jazz, Blues, and Funk. Seeing Squaring The Circle Live is a feel good, free spirited, danceable, fun time with old friends and those you will meet for the very first time!! Our live performances are high energy parties blended with technically proficient and purpose-laden musical statements.
Currently, STC is in the process of expanding our original catalog while continuing to learn covers from such greats as Frank Zappa, Grant Green, Beatles, Stanton Moore Trio, and Soulive.
Black Muddy River Band
Black Muddy River Band is a three-member acoustic group from the Washington DC area that captures the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead. Two- and three-part harmonies overlay acoustic guitars, bass and mandolin (in ever-changing combinations). Fans of the Dead's early 1970s acoustic albums will find these gems both captured and interpreted in fresh new ways. The group also plays acoustic versions of songs that the Dead only played “plugged in,” including extended jams where the three instruments interweave to capture the Dead’s spare intricacy.
Black Muddy River Band is:
Jamie Daly (mandolin, guitar, bass, vocals) has played in various DC-area acoustic groups since 1985, none of which had enough Dead in the set list. Two of those groups, The Outpatients and The Constituents, are still current. He lives in South Arlington with wife Mina Stanard.
Steve Neugeboren (guitar, vocals) recently played with the DC Area Grateful Dead tribute band, On the Bus. Having moved off the bus and into an unplugged format, Steve contributes his own original material to the band's performances.
Dave Wolf (guitar, bass, vocals) hails from Maryland, is deeply versed in the bluegrass form and is enjoying a return to the Dead material he loved when it all began.
