Over the past 5 years the Darnell Boys have toured throughout the South East sharing the stage with such acts as The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Infamous String Dusters, Cracker, American Aquarium and Daniel Romano just to name a few. Formed in late 2010, the Darnell Boys originally consisted of three brothers, A.C. (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Caleb (lead guitar, slide guitar, vocals) and Gus Darnell (guitar, percussion, vocals). The band was soon expanded to include Elijah Neesmith on upright bass and Patrick Weise on junkyard percussion. The groups sound is a diverse blend of American musical elements that draw upon the Blues, Country, Gospel, Soul and Rockabilly traditions all centered around the three brother's unique song writing and vocal work.
