The Restless Sons (5:30pm)

Darren O'Brien (vocals/guitar), his brother Sean O'Brien (lead guitar) and their childhood friend Neil Thollander (bass) of Calistoga, CA have been playing music together since they were kids. It began in school band where Darren was a percussionist, Sean was a clarinetist, and Neil played saxophone; their first foray into rocking out was a punk rock band called Something Cool. Along with Something Cool, multiple members of The Restless Sons have been fully involved and active in other bands such as The Cruz Missiles and God's Oddities, and have toured the US with Santa Cruz's Dun Bin Had.

Darren has also been playing solo acoustic shows in the Sonoma/Napa county areas for several years, playing his own brand of indie folk/punk; heavily influenced by greats like Chuck Ragan and Mike Ness. It was at these solo acoustic folk shows that the songs, sound, and idea of the Restless Sons slowly developed.
In 2012 The Restless Sons added drummer Bryan Goodrich, originally hailing from Wenatchee, WA, to the permanent lineup. Bryan has been a musician most of his life and has played with local bay area groups The Dustin Smart Band, Punching Billy, The Decoyz, Emma Lee Project, Dylan Chambers and the Midnight Transit, The Blackout Cowboys, Staggerwing and LA based band Kevin Never Talks.
Shortly after Bryan was added they went into the studio to record the EP "A Glimpse of Hope". In 2013 they followed up their debut EP with an acoustic album called "There's No Place Like Home" along with a full Pacific Northwest Tour. Now, with an ever growing catalog of originally written music as well as a few select covers and infused with the diversity of prior projects, the Restless Sons are eager to play new markets and break new ground.
