Yaniza Doré is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter born and raised in Manhattan, who hummed along to music before she could speak. She always loved singing, but it became her passion when she stumbled upon her first voice & guitar lessons at age 16.
Yaniza found her songwriting niche in soft acoustic music influenced in part by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sara Bareilles, & Colbie Caillat. She has performed at The Bitter End in NYC, where she earned the title of Artist of the Month in February 2014. Additionally, she has performed at Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, The Bowery Electric, Sidewalk Open Stage, B.B. King, and The Delancey in NYC. She released her first EP, “Feel This Way,” with four original songs in 2013. Her second EP, "Sticks & Stones," was released in 2014 with 6 original songs. Yaniza's most recent release in 2016, "Secrets," is a 10-track album filled with personal experiences. Yaniza loves to make acoustic, laid back versions of pop songs, which she uploads on YouTube. Since opening her main YouTube channel in 2011, Yaniza has gained thousands of subscribers and over 500,000 views.
Yaniza graduated from Ithaca College in May 2014 with a degree in Psychology where she was also a part of Acapella, Show Choir, Open Mic Night, and other groups for musicians. Since graduating, she has worked as a preschool teacher, a vocalist for kids' music classes, and a back up singer for reggae artist, K'reema. She also started a wedding duo, Lavender Rose, with her friend, Stephanie. Yaniza plans on continuing to pursue a solo career in music while exploring other opportunities simultaneously.
