Excision. The name itself presents a terrifying image- a mangled, forced extraction, quite literally “removal by cutting”. It should come as no surprise that the sounds behind this name are just as filthy, brutal, and unforgiving as the namesake suggests.

Excision shows are like no other- a virtual apocalypse of twisting and morphing sounds turn massive crowds into a frenzy, as virtual walls of bass are relentlessly impaled time and time again upon their fragile bodies and ears. Your ears will ring and your eyes will roll into the back of your head as you are suspended in what can only be called a true sensory overload. Bass will rain down from above for hours as Excision’s skills as a DJ and producer shine like an unholy light from the underworld.

The true champion of bass music, Excision hails from Kelowna, British Columbia. Armed with a library of destruction and filth, Excision has time and time again tested the limits of electronic music with vastly different sets that encompass a full range of genres. The things you see and hear during the precious time you are engaged by Excision’s sounds will eclipse your mind for a lifetime, as you are constantly enlightened by the true fervor and energy that only an Excision set can provide.

Ganja White Night

Ganja White Night is an electronic music band whose early influences are found at the roots of "Bass-Music". During the past decade, the duo traveled many countries in Europe and made several tours in the United States. The band takes a new creative direction tinted with hip-hop and more generally hybrid electronic music after the release of their fourth album "Addiction" in 2014.

They decided to break the fetters that connected them almost exclusively to "Dubstep" and started using other forms of expression. It is therefore with their new album "Hybrid Distillery" that the group now has to make an impression by imposing its style in other genres of electronic music. This fifth album is not only another acoustic chapter, it is also about graphics. The draftsman/graffiti artist/director "Ebola - Delit2fuite" brings a whole new visual world mixed with, just like Ganja White Night, artistic originality and singularity never achieved until now.

Forged from a history of hardship and partying, Prof’s music and career reflect the dichotomy that his life has been. His music chronicles everything he has experienced; from adversities as a child, like his father setting fire to their home or sleeping on a bean bag growing up, to his adult diversions, like his love affair with whiskey and women (in that order). Much the same, his career has also seen this duality. After grinding on the Minneapolis hip-hop scene for over ten years with little to show besides a ravenous fan base, Prof has recently begun to make serious national traction on the back of his unique recordings, video content and must see live shows.

Frequently billed with rap mainstays like Atmosphere, Yelawolf, Tech N9ne, POS, Brother Ali, Doomtree and Killer Mike, Prof has shown his talent can hang with the best. This talent has been well documented by his critically acclaimed Kaiser Von Powderhorn mixtape series, three full length albums, recordings with Brother Ali, Slug and Yelawolf, and a guest appearance on the Atmosphere track “Minnesota Nice”.

Prof’s most 2011 LP King Gampo is proof that he’s only getting better. Thanks to help from friends like Brother Ali, Ant of Atmosphere, and MTV Riff Raff (SODMG), King Gampo expands upon Prof’s previous works detailing his worst memories and best parties, making sure the listener bobs their head and shakes their ass the entire time. To support the record, Prof joined Atmosphere and Grieves on national tours in fall of 2011, headlined sold-out King Gampo Tour dates in February 2012, and was Andre Nickatina’s direct supporting artist during his national tour in the Spring of 2012.

Currently, Prof is set to release new Kaiser Von Powderhorn 3, the third volume of his widely popular, Kaiser Von Powderhorn mixtape series with features by Yelawolf, Slug and guest production from Doomtree’s, Lazerbeak out September 25, 2012.

One of the most impressive young leaders of the American dance music scene, California-based Ookay (pronounced “okay”) exploded onto the scene when both his freshman and sophomore releases on Ultra Records charted in the top 10 on Beatport. Since then, he’s shown no sign of slowing down, working with some of the greatest producers in electronic music while developing a signature style that weaves across genres, reflecting influences as varied as Borgore, Diplo, DJ Snake, Showtek, Deorro, TJR, Boaz Van de Beatz, Valentino Kahn, Waveracer, Cashmere Cat, Lindsay Lowend, Skrillex, Lido, and Wiwek while always returning to a hard-hitting trap beat.

The producer and DJ has racked up credits and quickly made a name for himself with remixes of tracks like Congrorock’s “Bless Di Nation Ft. Sean Paul” and Steve Aoki, Chris Lake & Tujamo’s “Boneless.” Ookay teamed up with iconic producer Diplo to remix Avicii’s “You Make Me,” and his recent remix of “Kanye” by the Chainsmokers on Republic/Dim Mak Records layers his signature mix of dance music and hip-hop over fluttering pop vocals. His side project Coaster serves as an outlet for his love of alternative dance and house music, proving Ookay to be no one-trick trap pony.

His much-anticipated spring single "Bouncer," produced with the venerable Dutch duo Showtek, hit the top 3 Beatport overall chart after its March 2014 release and was a staple on summer festival stages across the country. Ookay has also quickly become known as a charismatic performer both on and off stage, appearing at venues like EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, Red Rocks, and TomorrowWorld. His live shows are known for sleek transitions, sensitive song selections, and entertaining MC’ing from the booth. He’s also no slouch on Twitter, commenting on everything from the struggle to Shazam an unknown song to LA’s Korean BBQ scene.

It’s no surprise that Ghost, out November 10 on Dim Mak Records, is one of the most exciting dance music releases of the fall. Promised to be “a blend of listening tracks as well as club bangers,” it fulfills that goal. Ghost is one of the too-rare records that will bring you from your morning commute, with the meditative “Ghost” and “Matters,” to 4 AM on the dance floor losing it to “Egg Drop Soup.”

The Ghost Tour this fall and winter is sure to blow up dance floors across America, and truly solidify Ookay’s status as one of America’s premier young electronic artists. With support from such icons as Showtek and Diplo as well as Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Major Lazer, Borgore, Nervo, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Deorro, TJR, Krewella and more, it seems certain that Ookay’s star will only continue to rise.

Ott was doomed to be a teenager in the cultural wasteland that was the mid-1980’s provincial England. After a brief period wandering aimlessly through the hairsprayed deserts of New Romanticism and poodle-rock he found refuge in the warm, inviting sounds of Scientist, King Tubby, LKJ, and Prince Far-I and the effortless grace of European experimentalists Neu! and Kraftwerk. Here he stayed until he felt it was safe to pop his head up again.

The end of the 1980’s brought with it a cultural and musical revolution and Ott headed to London to immerse himself in the new energy. Initially unimpressed by the frantic, unmusical clatterings of acid house and “rave” he discovered a new wave of artists who apparently shared his love of organic dub and pristine electronics. Artists such as The Orb, Dub Syndicate, FSOL and African Head Charge. These were people who were unafraid to combine bass-heavy rhythm, abstract soundscape and timeless melody into a huge, ever-shifting sonic universe which reflected perfectly the spirit of hope and positivity which prevailed.

It was at this point that Ott found his first work as an engineer in several studios around North London. Working obsessively, 18 hours a day, seven days a week for the next ten years, Ott began developing the skills which would see him go on to work with many of those who created the sounds which inspired him in the first place – Brian Eno, The Orb, Youth, African Head Charge, Steve Hillage, and On-U-Sound.

After spending the 1990’s freelancing around London as a studio engineer and producer, Ott celebrated the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st by giving it all up and moving to a remote cottage in South West England to be alone with his cats and his studio. With a vague plan to create the perfect soundtrack to an outdoor English festival he embarked on a series of sonic experiments, drawing heavily on the classic dub sounds from Jamaica and hypnotic electronic pulse from Germany which had provided such a refuge during the 1980’s. A period of intense creativity followed, during which a great many tracks were created and then stashed away on tapes, seemingly never to see the light of day.

In the meantime, Ott hatched a plan to remix half a dozen or so classic Hallucinogen trance tracks and release them as dub mixes – slower, fatter and more chillout friendly. In 2002 the album “Hallucinogen in Dub” was released via Twisted Records to universal acclaim.
Buoyed by the success of “Hallucinogen in Dub”, the following year Ott gathered together and released his earlier sonic experiments as the album “Blumenkraft” which was also very well received and which attracted a great many listeners around the world.

The next few years passed in a whirl of gigs, remixes [Shpongle, Entheogenic, Tripswitch] and collaborative projects – “Umberloid” with friend and multi-instrumentalist Chris Barker, and “Gargoyles” with Simon Posford [Hallucinogen, Shpongle]. During this time Ott travelled the world, got married, welcomed his daughter Daisy to the world and wrote his third album “Skylon” – which was released on Twisted Records in early 2008.

A three-piece suit, live electronic experience. Hailing from Colorado, SunSquabi has been picking up steam after a breakout year in 2016, marked by their debut release on GRiZ’s All Good Records. The bands 7-track EP “Odyssey” takes listeners through a laidback electronic, funk fueled journey. Joining the band on their latest EP, Big Gigantic & GRiZ himself lend their talents to the project. Continuing to shatter expectations of what a “Live-Electronic” band should be, SunSquabi effortlessly transitions between synth-bass heavy vibes to smooth jam-like grooves.

SunSquabi spent the better part of 2016 touring across North America making debut appearances and show stealing performances at festivals including… Electric Forest, High Sierra, Camp Bisco, Hulaween & more! The live-electronic trio is gearing up for their biggest year yet, including stops at Red Rocks, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas and their largest headline tour to date!

2017 will see SunSquabi’s second release on All Good Records, The “Deluxe” EP, out later this Spring. “Pygmy Up” the lead single featuring Russ Liquid was released at the top of year, followed by “Cinnamon” with Late Night Radio. Look out for the “Deluxe” EP to pick up where “Odyssey” left off and continue to solidify the SunSquabi sound.

Beak Nasty

Beak Nasty is a duo consisting of producer/turntablist Ryland Sabien (Beaker) and drummer/percussionist Phil Ade (Foxy Dope) who combine the sounds of hip hop and intense bass lines to create futuristic chill funk/electro soul music.

The project began when Beaker started releasing beats in high school while living in rural northwest Wisconsin. In 2010 halfway through his junior year of high school, he moved to Minneapolis to get more directly involved in the scene and began DJing and producing for hip hop acts Future Fossils (formerly Kids Like Us), Allan Kingdom, Finding Novyon, and a slew of other Minneapolis emcees. He started attending McNally Smith College of Music during his senior year of high school and put out the ablums "When it Rains, it Pours" in 2011 and "The Expanding Universe" in 2013 along with collaborations, singles, and remixes.

Shorty after the release of his third album "Chill Funk Files Vol. 1" in July 2013, Beaker changed the name of the project to Beak Nasty. Right around the same time, Foxy Dope moved to minneapolis and the duo connected almost instantly. Phil informed Ryland that he would now be drumming for him and since then, they’ve been playing non stop shows, house parties, and festivals all around the country.

In August 2015, they released the 6 track EP "The World is Real" and left Minneapolis to find some new inspiration out in Colorado. Over the winter, they went on their first headlining national tour hitting 20+ dates spreading the word of chill funk far and wide. Now, after a summer of crushing festivals and rocking the stage with some of biggest names in the game, the duo are hard at work on new material and plotting new ways to “passez le funk”. (That’s French for spread the funk.)
