The U.S. Americans
Hello. We are the US Americans and we come from the United States of America. We play music because we believe that playing music is the most American thing one can do. The second most American thing one can do is listen to our music.
God Bless America!
The Current was founded in 2011 by a group of post-grads who couldn't live without their college a cappella fix. Since then, we've grown to a 13-member ensemble, with a repertoire as diverse as our day jobs, which range from advertising mavens to academics to nutritionists, but our sound always comes back to our never-ending love for pop music in all its forms.
The Daggers built a following on Cape Cod playing boat parties to prominent venues. Band leaders Kyle Brodie and Gabriel Morton have crafted a high-energy show featuring their repertoire of original rock, funk, latin jazz, hip-hop, and reggae. Their first album, Extended Play, was engineered by PJ Goodwin of Debo Band). Following its release, they propelled into the Cape Cod music scene. After relocating to New York City, they are preparing to release their second album showcasing their evolution from a rock combo to a band playing diverse genres. Joining them in New York City are drummer Yannick Sabarots and tenor saxophonist David Yee.
