Pere Ubu are hitting the road with the music from their new album, ’20 Years In A Montana
Missile Silo’ (Cherry Red Records, release date 29th September 2017), starting with the east
coast of America. ‘The MonkeyNet Tour’ will deliver an hour-long set of new songs, peppered
with a couple of tracks from previous albums and David Thomas’ infamous narratives inbetween.
On the choice of tour name, Mr Thomas says, “An infinite number of monkeys clicking
on an infinite number of links will yield nothing but an infinite number of bananas.”
With the new track ‘Monkey Bizness’ giving a taster of what’s to come, anticipation of hearing
the new album is high and, along with the rave reviews of their live performances last year, fans
are guaranteed a Pere Ubu show unlike those that have gone before, but with all the same
The touring band for Pere Ubu are:
David Thomas – vocals; Gary Siperko – guitar; Robert Wheeler – Analog synths, Theremin;
Michele Temple - bass guitar, backing vocals; Steve Mehlman - drums, percussion, backing
