Cold Specks

Born in Toronto, Canadian singer Cold Specks has been a byword for rare talent and depth of feeling since her arrival in late 2011. In the afterglow of first single 'Holland,' she performed on Jools Holland.

Her 2012 debut album, ‘I Predict a Graceful Expulsion!’, hailed as a masterful and wholly original debut was shortlisted for a Juno award and Polaris Prize.

Cold Specks returned with her sophomore album ‘Neuroplasticity’, two years and a world map of tours later. Voted one of The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times’ albums of the year, the follow-up was radically expanded.

When not writing or touring, they were pinballing between asks from an enviable roll call of collaborators. Cold Specks worked on Moby’s album ‘Innocents’ and was invited to play with Joni Mitchell at the singer’s 70th birthday, alongside the likes of Herbie Hancock. She contributed to celebrated American jazz trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire's Blue Note album ‘The Imagined Saviour Is far Easier To Paint’ and the Swans album ‘To Be Kind’.

Currently in the studio completing her third album, Cold Specks will be hitting the road again this year to support the upcoming release.
