As the world’s shift to the digital era becomes more apparent, those who fight for the tangible authenticity of the analog era stand out in a world of computers and technology. Music, film, art, and even the way we communicate with each other, has vastly changed through the invention of electronic devices. While this evolution has born many brilliant creations, artistically and technologically, there is still something so precious about that which is created sans computers.

Playing music together since the age of 13, Colorado-based musicians Jordan Linit and Josh Fairman combined minds to form the shape-shifting funk band, Analog Son. A flavorful fusion of funk, jazz, blues, rock, and hip hop, Analog Son has cooked up a sumptuous buffet of sounds. The project has seen collaborations from a rotating assortment of musicians.

Their debut studio album, Stomp And Shout, featured funky horn lines from Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom from the Shady Horns, members of the Motet, Nigel Hall (Nth Power), Joe Tatton (New Mastersounds), Benzel Baltimore of P-Funk fame, Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk), Terrence Houston (Funky Meters) plus some of Denver’s finest local talent.

Black Diamond' the groups 2016 release, was primarily recorded in New Orleans, Louisiana while Linit and Fairman were in town for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Not only does the new record showcase both compositional and improvisational skills, but it features some of the scene's heaviest hitters including previous collaborators, and Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk), Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Co, The Allman Brothers), Alvin Ford Jr. (Dumpstaphunk, Pretty Lights Live), just to name a few.

PHO is a Twin Cities funk band creating a new Minneapolis sound utilizing modern taste and classic influences to break musical boundaries.

PHO released their debut album 'CASH IT' in February of 2015 and created lasting buzz for recording such a mature and creative record as early 20 year olds. They reached out to friends Alan Evans of Soulive and John Davis, producer for Lettuce/Jo Jo Mayer to help achieve a sound that would resonate internationally. They have supported and toured with bands such as The Motet, Larry Graham and GCS, Jonathan Richman, Dopapod, and Oddisee. In early Early 2016 Prince found the band via Youtube and posted about them on his social media. This sparked a huge buzz for PHO around the globe and landed them an invite to Prince's Paisley Park Studio's opening for Larry Graham. Fans are watching this band eagerly into 2017 as they predict them to be one of the bigger names of the funk/festival scene.

Born in the foothills of Boulder, CO in the fall of 2015, Envy Alo has quickly created a unique signature sound built on an array of diverse influences ranging from old school organ-trio jazz/funk to newer, heavier rock and fusion stylings.

Envy Alo is Aaron Pettine, Tyler Gwynn, and Kevin Hinder. Aaron and Tyler have been performing for years locally in a variety of Boulder bands including Booster and Tenth Mountain Division, respectively. Kevin recently transplanted to Boulder from the Baltimore, MD area, performing in a number of bands in MD and VA over the years.

Aaron and Kevin met in college, and shared a mutual appreciation for the diverse styles of music each enjoyed, and linked up with Tyler after hearing the thunderous drumming of the TMD driving force. After a few jam sessions the three had an undeniable chemistry, and quickly had a nucleus of original songs crafted. With numerous upcoming gigs throughout the front range, stay tuned as this group continues to evolve and develop into a crazed funkadelic dance party for your eardrums.
