He’s currently playing with John Legend on the Darkness & Light international tour. Ben’s success as a sideman has only enhanced his personal creative pursuits, including a recent video series. The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly, year-long exploration of American song, with live-in-studio covers of new and old classics.

Releasing this summer is his newest project, the ‘Salt’ EP. A catchy collection of authentic tunes, featuring a live band with Americana overtones. These vibrant songs pull from country and rock with an organic, driving pulse. Accompanying this release, Ben will continue his visual content with music videos and a mini-doc recounting the recording process of ‘Salt’.

Hurricane Hoss

HURRICANE HOSS has blown through the juke joints and watering holes of America,
the perfect example of a classical good-girl gone outlaw. She’s shot whiskey in the
Midwestern Wilds, danced to zydeco in Louisiana, fallen in love in the Rockies, and twostepped
on top of broken hearts in Nashville. With fiddle, banjo, and guitar in tow, Hoss
sings the stories of her travels and travails, providing a humorous outlook on heartache.
Hoss herself is Sarah Larsen, one of the Northeast’s hardest working fiddle players.
When not fronting her own band, you can catch her winning fiddle contests (Delaware
State 2013, Lyons Fiddle Festival “Grand Champion" 2015) and occasionally dallying as
a classical call-girl (internationally touring soloist, most recently with the Green Bay
Symphony Orchestra). More often than not, she’s lending her fingers to touring acts and
hot new records, including collaborations with David Mayfield, Dr. Dog, Ben Arnold,
Saskwatch, Hop Along, Mason Porter, and Deadfellow.

She summons strength from all corners of the state with her band The Perfect Storm, a
veritable who’s who of great players from the region (TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb,
The Kalob Griffin Band, etc.). An evening with Hoss isn’t easily forgotten - she’ll have
you laughing, crying, and singing in no time!

Chickabiddy is a Philadelphia based acoustic duo comprised of Emily
Schuman and Aaron Cromie, two theater artists whose love of music
sparked this musical collaboration. Inspired by such acts as The Milk
Carton Kids, Punch Brothers and Mandolin Orange, Chickabiddy creates
folk songs about love, loss and moving forward in a complicated world.
They have performed locally at The Fire, Tin Angel, Trocadero and Quig's
Pub among other venues, and regularly play for local theatre companies
and fundraising events.
