The Untouchables

The Untouchables

Ska and Soul band from the Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California area.

They formed in 1981 as part of the embryonic L.A. mod revival, after being inspired by the ska revival/punk rock band The Boxboys. Since some couldn't play instruments, they either hastily learned, or became vocalists. The original lineup included: Kevin Long (vocals), Chuck Askerneese (vocals), Terry Ellsworth (rhythm guitar), Clyde Grimes (guitar), Rob Lampron (drums), Herman Askerneese (bass) and Jerry Miller (vocals, timbales).

Scrap Yard Aces

Scrap Yard Aces brings its own unique style of Cali-Roots reggae inspired by other reggae influenced bands like The Clash, Bad Brains and Dub Trio.

SYA draws inspiration from roots reggae, old school hardcore, and psych rock, but rather than nostalgic or backward-looking the songs turn an eye on what's going on in the world today and try to make a place for a positive new day to take hold.
