The Attic Showcase
For more than 25 years, Eddie’s Attic has served as a home for musicians both locally and nationally touring. From its daily concerts to its nationally recognized Open Mic, the Attic has proven to be a veritable birth place and proving ground for legendary to modern up and comers on the verge of major breakthroughs. The music and the stories of the talent that performs on stage is well documented, but there is another group of incredible artists that frequent the main rooms, bars, and back halls of the venue. These musicians ensure the Attic functions daily, sometimes sacrificing the time to hone their craft to add to the success of the venue. They are bar tenders, waiters, cooks, sound engineers, but at their core, they are musicians looking for a platform.
Join us for the second annual Attic Showcase! Performers will join the ranks of former employees and owners who have graced the music room, adding their name to legends, like John Mayer, Nicki Thrailkill (Ink+Ash), Mike Kinnebrew, and Brian Revels (City Mouse). Join us in celebrating not only music, but those who create it.
Brian Revels is probably most recognized as the brazen voice behind Atlanta, Georgia’s, City Mouse, a bourbon-barreled version of an Avett Brother’s rip-off (in the best possible way). If you know him, you might also tend to picture him holding a banjo. But, long before the birth of this rowdy string trio, he has been scribbling lyrics on scrap paper – restaurant order pads, receipts, check stubs – and picking a well-loved 6-string confidante.
As a performer, he tends to reimagine his songs constantly, delivering the words with an earnestness that is completely true in the moment and therefore never a re-enactment of something tirelessly rehearsed – whether or not it is.
“As far as the show goes, it’s like trying to keep a bird in a cage that won’t latch. I try to stick to melodies, try to be still but it never seems to come out as tame as I’d like it to. But, I don’t hate that.” Says Brian.
Hailing from the North Georgia town of Gainesville, Atlanta-based guitarist Molloy Brody has turned his focus to songwriting. With a range of influences spanning B.B. King to Ted Greene, he draws from the classic American traditions of Blues, Folk, and Jazz.
Singer-songwriter from Florida, Bridget Leen’s music strolls the listener through image-rich environments while telling stories of life and love and death and leaving. Her musical style pulls influences from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Merle Haggard, Chet Atkins and Ted Greene.
Kesey Coyote with Josh Brook
KESEY COYOTE is a band out of Atlanta, Georgia focused on creating conceptual music from all different genres. Current members: Gray Dowsley, Andrew Harrison, Josh Brook, Mike Dzuro.
Alex Gillette is your every day antihero, paving his way to hell on a road of good intentions. Providing the soundtrack for the mistake-makers, the heartbreakers, and the bent but unbroken.
He's a dash of Americana, a pinch of sung smoke, and a serving of Soul, rounded out with Punk Rock roots.
Alex currently has 3 solo albums and countless never-been-released material. You can hear some of his work online at
Though seldom, be sure to keep an eye out for future performance dates.
Hi, my name is Ethan, and I play music a lot. As far as I can remember I have always had a want to know how to make music. Now I do and I couldn't be happier with my life. I play in a band I've been developing that I call Rooster Cogburn and it is so far, exactly what I want. Thanks for listening.
Chelsea Faith is a 25 year old singer/songwriter that is new to the songwriting scene. Chelsea started singing all the way back in elementary school and often got the solo and lead parts to school musicals and chorus concerts up to her senior year in high school. She started to learn the piano in 3rd grade and then began taking guitar lessons in middle school. She grew up in Woodstock, GA where she was extremely involved in church worship. She led worship at Northstar church and Riverstone church in Kennesaw, GA. Most of her life was revolved around singing with her incredibly talented younger sister Shelby Smith. They together traveled to different churches around Georgia leading worship as a sister duo. Two years ago, she used to host the open mic night every week at the Mellow Mushroom in Cartersville and was involved in the music scene in North Georgia. Chelsea specializes in harmonies, and can harmonize with just about anyone. Chelsea took voice lessons from Lisa Rosemond, with Jan Smith Studios for about four years, where she learned placement and so many valuable vocal techniques. Still trying to fully find her own sound, she is so thankful to be working with such talented co-workers and friends.
