Cassian has become one of Australia's busiest young exports, clocking up serious miles performing all over the world at clubs & festivals from New York to Rome, Sao Paulo to Shanghai and Warsaw to Singapore. He's supported DJs such as Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Guy Gerber, MK, Solomun, H.O.S.H, Hot Since 82 and played B2B with Maxxi Soundsystem, Mickey, Aeroplane and Motez to name a few.
Cassian has been keeping busy inside the studio as well, producing his own music as well as mixing & engineering for the likes of Banks, Classixx, Rufus, Miami Horror & Bag Raiders.
The last few years have seen Cassian release club EPs with New York City's Nurvous Records (legendary dance label Nervous Record's sister label), Andy George & Jaymo's Moda Music, Club Sweat & be commissioned for remixes by the likes of Rufus, Alex Metric, Elliphant, Anna Lunoe & Touch Sensitive, Kraak & Smaak, RAC and Owl Eyes. Collectively these tunes have topped The Hype Machine & Beatport Charts multiple times, been played on radio worldwide & racked up over 2 million plays on Soundcloud alone. They've been supported by DJs as diverse as MK, Damian Lazarus, Bondax, Danny Tenaglia, Bag Raiders, Oliver Koletzki, Aeroplane, A-Trak & Zombie Disco Squad.
In the latter half of 2014 Cassian signed to Sydney's Sweat It Out Music! which will see the release of his debut single Running ft. Cleopold. The track was produced, mixed & mastered across studios in Sydney, London, LA & early DJ feedback already has support from Oliver Heldens, The Magician, Motez, Bag Raiders, The Aston Shuffle, Rufus, Nina Las Vegas, Sinden and looks set to be a summer weapon (in Aus) and a winter warmer for those in the northern hemisphere.
What does the future have in store? Remixes for Elliphant, Vanilla Ace, Classixx, as well as a follow up EP on Sweat it Out – He's only just getting started.
Walker & Royce
New York City's Sam Walker & Gavin Royce have been producing their emotive, subdued and groove-heavy deep house for just two years— but almost from the start, they were touted as future stars. Now it's official, thanks to a certain UK tastemaker— not to mention a string of stellar productions and remixes." -Bruce Tantum: Nightlife Editor, Time Out NY
"Walker & Royce" started when Sam and Gavin, having known each other in and out of the dance scene for years, finally began working together in 2011. As things usually go, it was a bit of luck that got them off the ground: Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus noticed one of their very first releases, a remix of SAARID's "Future Lately", on Nervous Records. He began playing it in all of his sets and reached out to the duo for more. The result was the Crosstown Rebels EP "You're Not Welcome" and with that, Walker & Royce was launched into the dance music mainstream.
Around the same time, Walker & Royce released a track on an OFF Recordings compilation that started as a sleeper but went on to become a house anthem: "Connected". The song quickly became a mainstay in Solomun's performances. This and subsequent releases, such as those on Moda Black and Pets Recordings, have set the stage for a diverse range of sounds from the pair.
Since then, Walker & Royce's music has been supported by Sasha, option4, Maceo Plex, Pete Tong, Need & Necessity, Catz N Dogz, Danny Daze, Tensnake, Jaymo & Andy George, Maxxi Soundsystem, Hector Romero, Jozif, Kolombo, Treasure Fingers, and Waifs & Strays, to name a few.
