HÄANA: SALT Release Show

LA-based producer/violinist/vocalist HÄANA's original productions are like a filmscore: Nordic and Icelandic-tinged music merged with digital and analog. She counts Massive Attack, Björk, and Trentemøller as influences in crafting her sounds, featuring electronica influences and synthetic sonority. The resulting sonic palate takes listeners on a journey whose destination is a crossroads between classical and contemporary, organic & man-made, familiar and mysterious. Coming off a relentless past summer of festival performances and club dates (Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Bass Coast, Arise, Lucidity, Enchanted Forest, Beloved, La Calaca, and more) alongside the likes of Opiuo, Ott., Haywyre, Minnesota, Dirtwire, Dimond Saints, CloZee, and starting 2017 with support plays at sold-out shows with Desert Dwellers and Kayla Scintilla at 1015 Folsom (SF) and Ogden Theater (Denver), HÄANA now looks to the release of her SALT EP through Paper Gold Records in May, 2017, and a May/June/July album release tour. “Sonic stardust.” (Vogue) "Rather breathtaking." (Clash, UK) “Majestic” (Nothing But Hope & Passion)

w/support from RAINE

RAINE is the stage name of Jaqui Rae Stewart, a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who crafts melody-driven, ethereal alternative pop music. Her sound has been described as "cinematic sweeps & overtures reminiscent of the greatest film finales & emotional opening sequences" and has been compared to alt-pop contemporaries like Austra and Vérité. 'RAINE' comes from the word Moraine: the deposits of rock and soil that are left behind by a glacier as it shifts across the land over time. Her music represents the beauty of nature and the power and influence of a woman. When she takes the stage, one can feel a magical presence that leaves you enthralled, empowered, and wistful. RAINE's debut EP My Dreams was independently released on October 28, 2016.
