Euphotoria 2017

My Hometown Heroes, Inc.

My Hometown Heroes is a 501(c)3 organization designed to provide scholarships for young adult cancer survivors between the ages of 17 and 39. Our mission is to financially assist and recognize these amazing individuals who are pursuing a college education. Through community outreach, collaboration, and creativity we inspire with stories of hope and progress.

"After being diagnosed with cancer, not only are your finances affected but also your motivation, hope, and aspirations. My Hometown Heroes not only helped me go to college and start my post-cancer life but they also gave me the courage to chase my dreams with the comfort of knowing I'm not alone. Nothing will ever be able to surpass that feeling."

In 2010, Danny Heinsohn founded My Hometown Heroes to celebrate his 10th year of remission from brain cancer. Since 2011, MHH has awarded 42 scholarships to college bound survivors from across the country between the amounts of $1000 and $5000 each.

In 2016, MHH board member, Jared Lindwall, recognized a great opportunity to align the passion and vision of two local entrepreneurs. Reno Native, Bridget Rosscup has over 20 years of film and photography experience, and her vision for Euphotoria, a community venue for creative and therapeutic expression through photography, was brought to life in 2016.

Join us at Dolan Lexus for our 2nd annual Euphotoria event on Friday, April 21, 2017.
