Like some kind of sonic Pulp Fiction, Bad Rabbits fuse futuristic R&B and post-rock for a slick one-two punch.
MTV Buzzworthy couldn’t have said it better, Bad Rabbits are “…a vibrant, horn-blasting, dirty bass funk-popping blast of throwback R&B charm…” . The multi-cultural Boston four-piece—Fredua "Dua" Boakye [vocals], Sheel Davé [drums], Salim Akram [guitar], and Graham Masser [bass], - confidently struts through genres with unrestrained swagger and a whole lot of attitude.
Bad Rabbits began drumming up a flurry of buzz in 2009 with their self-released EP, Stick Up Kids. Their sweaty, intense live shows solidified an impressive and devout following as they shared the stage with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Passion Pit, Deftones, Travie McCoy, T-Pain, GlassJaw, Common and John Legend and played the Vans Warped Tour.
Bad Rabbits made a splash in 2013 with their critically acclaimed debut album American Love and sold-out shows across the country. In 2014, they supported Allen Stone on a 20 city sold out tour, performed at all 42 shows of the Van’s Warped Tour, and headlined performances in the UK and US. In 2015, surrounding their UK performance at Wireless Festival, the band had tour dates in the US and UK supported by Hayley Kiyoko and others. Also in 2015, Bad Rabbits released 4 songs produced by multi-platinum superproducer, Teddy Riley (Michael Jackson, Blackstreet, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, R Kelly). The 4 songs premiered online; “Here to Stay” premiered on Yahoo, “How High” on ESPN.com, “Way With Words” premiered on Complex.com, and “Dilemma”
went directly to fans via Bad Rabbits social media.Bad Rabbits’ much anticipated sophomore album, heavily co-written by the Grammy-Award winning James Fauntleroy (Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Rihanna, Timbaland), was released in 2015. Bad Rabbits also collaborated with producers The Movement (Justin Bieber, Jesse McCartney), G’harah “PK” Degeddingseze (Chris Brown), Arthur McArthur (Drake, Dr. Dre), 1500 or Nothin’ (Jay Z and Justin Timberlake), and Sam Barsh (Aloe Blacc and Kendrick Lamar). Bad Rabbits has also released their most recent album “American Nightmare.” Bad Rabbits will be releasing their newest album “Stick Up Kids 2” in early 2017. With praise from the likes of Pitchfork, SPIN, USA Today, Vice, and MTV Buzzworthy,Bad Rabbits have surely made a name for themselves as one of the most compelling and eclectic groups to emerge on the music scene.
Brian Anthony Joyce (ex Major League) teams up with Songwriter and Producer Chris Curran (Reclaim Music Studios) to bring a new and dark alt/pop sound in Commūnion. Accompanied by songwriter Mike Adams (ex A Loss For Words), Matthew Chila (ex Major League) and Christian Mullen (ex A Loss For Words/ Handguns). The quintets first single BLOW is available everywhere now.
ILL DOOTS is a group of individuals with different perspectives, from different places, who want nothing more than to make good music with no rules. In 2009, ILL DOOTS began molding its jam-session origins into a small dorm-room studio project, and has since evolved into a raging live beast of a band featuring:
three emcees, two guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, a percussionist, and a keyboardist.
ILL DOOTS strives to throw convention and genre out the window by being creative in an absolute way. For ILL DOOTS, making music is an interdisciplinary journey, one that reconciles raw emotion and refined thought: coal, diamonds, and everything in between. The nine-piece band's vibe is organic and raw while simultaneously precise, drawing from diverse backgrounds but maintaining a shared musical consciousness.
