Addie and the Subtrax and Amy Matarazzo - A Benefit for RAICES Texas - Private Parlor Show (($15 adv/$20 day of show))

Addie and the Subtrax

Heart melting yet rejuvenating, plucky yet ephemeral, Addie Liechty and her band of five combine folk, blues and bluegrass influences to create a show that engages the audience to clap, sway, and often ruminate over the honest and exposed lyrics. They combine guitar, fiddle, banjo, upright bass, light percussion and thickly layered harmonic vocals to create a sound all their own that never fails to charm the audience into willful submission and to feel like their heart strings have been pleasantly tugged.

Amy Matarazzo

Public school teacher by day, singer-songwriter by afternoon and evening, Amy Matarazzo is a New Jersey native who now calls the Bay Area home. Amy grew up playing trumpet, baritone and percussion, and later picked up the guitar in college. Predominantly self-taught, Amy wrote her first songs on guitar while earning an advertising degree along the banks of the Hudson River. Some ten years later, she continues to write thoughtful, varied and visual songs about love, identity, and growing up.

You can find Amy playing in living rooms, at coffee shops, behind art galleries, around campfires, and other intimate spaces around the Bay Area and beyond.

This is a benefit show to support RAICES Texas (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services). This is an organization currently working against the U.S. government's raids on undocumented people, providing pro-bono legal support and education. More information can be found at
