Mayday Parade

Mayday Parade

For the past seven years, the members of Tallahassee, Florida's Mayday Parade have honed their patented style of catchy, kinetic pop-punk with an outpour of real rock energy. The Florida quintet knows its identity, but it's got more excitement for the future with new album Monsters In The Closet. Their fourth studio album, Monsters In The Closet is a collection of everything the group's fervent fan base loves about Mayday Parade. Evincing evolution in songwriting, the band's growth shines through shimmering soaring hooks throughout the unshakable 12-track collection. The fan-anticipated album hit #10 on the Billboard Top 200, #2 on the Independent Label Chart, and sold over 30,300 copies in the first week, landing the band in their best first week in their career.

Mayday Parade has come a long way since their landmark 2007 debut, A Lesson In Romantics which debuted at #8 on the Billboard Heatseeker's Chart, holding a chart position for seventy weeks and laying the framework for the band's path to success. To date, their album sales have exceeded 600,000 while track sales surpass 3,000,000. Their self-titled third album entered the Billboard Top 200 at #12 in 2011, and the band has been a standout on the Punk Goes... series. Having crossed the globe on countless tours, the band's impressive tour resume includes acts such as Plain White T's, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, The Maine, We The Kings, We Are The In Crowd, and Set Your Goals. This Florida based five-some stand poised for the biggest and brightest chapter yet.

After a series of EP's spent honing their sound, Knuckle Puck approached the writing and recording of Copacetic (their debut full-length for Rise Records and one of Alternative Press' Most Anticipated Albums of 2015) by studying albums close to their hearts: classics like Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American and Motion City Soundtrack's Commit This To Memory.

The result is an album that, like the suburban Chicago band's raved-about live show, features rough-around-the-edges pop-punk urgency buoyed by frontman Joe Taylor's explosive, gritty vocals. At the same time, the introduction of keyboards, Rhodes piano and experimental percussive elements gives listeners a chance to hear a side of the Knuckle Puck that's not drenched in sweat and hoarse-throated.

"There's a lot more patience in the music," guitarist Nick Casasanto says. "There's a lot of points where we just let the music breathe and do the talking, which we've never really done before. People perceive this genre as nonstop intensity and in your face. I feel like when you play opening slots of tours, you have to fit a lot of that into a short stint, but now we have the opportunity to explore a side of this band we never have before."

While introducing the world to a refreshing blend of alternative and pop punk sensibilities, the Manchester UK five-piece proves authenticity combined with hard work go hand in hand with achieving dreams and creating momentous milestones. Now, Milestones comes to Fearless Records ready to raise the bar even higher by setting yet another milestone. The group will release Equal Measures, produced by Phil Gornell (Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low, Set Your Goals), on July 8, 2016, unleashing five tracks that all brilliantly showcase Clarke's passionate, emotionally-drenched vocals and the band's knack for crafting infectiously catchy melodies while wrapping them all around themes of self-recognition, acceptance, learning to love yourself and realizing when it's time to move forward.
