The Guest List - Live TV Taping! Presented by Seeso and Audible, with KC Arora, Emmy Blotnick, Adam Cayton-Holland, Todd Glass and Jesse Joyce - Sunday 9:30pm
777 Valencia Street
San Francisco, CA, 94110
Doors 9:00 PM / Show 9:30 PM
Born in the mediocre and slightly dangerous streets of Queens, NY, Kunal (KC) was meant to be different. His first steps were jaywalking. His immigrant parents from India worked night and day to provide a better life for Kunal and his little brother. Little did they know, the streets would raise him…
Learning to bike ride from neighbors, tie shoes from other neighbors, and shave from yet another set of neighbors, Kunal was slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with. As a puny weakling, he decided he would back up his attitude with jokes because no one beats a badass who is also funny. Well, most people don't… some did though… actually most did.
Starting in comedy, Kunal would toss jokes out like a baseball pitches or softball pitches… to see what worked. Soon after, he was traveling the United States to attend festivals … the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketch Festival, and the Hoboken Comedy Festival. After getting to the finals of the Long Island Laugh Off Competition, Kunal realized that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Now, Kunal is crossing the country like highways performing in clubs and colleges nationwide!
Emmy Blotnick is a comedian and writer based in New York. Her work has appeared on Comedy Central, VH1, MTV and others. She has recently appeared in Comedy Central's "Comedians Crashing Couches", TruTV's "Friends Of The People", a commercial for Intel, and three episodes of SELF Magazine's series "Girl vs. Sweat". She co-hosts a fun monthly show with Matt Koff at Pacific Standard in Brooklyn.
Adam Cayton-Holland is a national touring headliner who plays clubs and colleges all over the country. He was named one of 25 "Comics to Watch" by Esquire Magazine and has appeared on Conan and The Pete Holmes Show. He has appeared on ABC's "Happy Endings" and was featured on the Nerdist, Comedy Bang Bang and Sklarbro County podcasts. Cayton-Holland has also performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs, SXSW, Bridgetown Comedy and Rooftop Comedy festivals, and launched his own comedy festival in Denver, The High Plains Comedy Festival. His monthly show and web series "The Grawlix" is a critically-lauded darling child that you should know and love (www.grawlixcomedy.com). The Grawlix crew filmed a pilot for Amazon Studios called "Those Who Can't." Adam also has a podcast called, "My Dining Room Table," available on iTunes. Boy howdy you should give it a listen! Adam lives with a purebred Chesapeake Retriever named Annabel Lee and people have described him as "genial" and "with pretty decent teeth."
Todd Glass started out as a wunderkind, making his stand-up debut in the Philadelphia area at 16. Since that precocious start, he has developed into a polished performer with a bent for inventive material that often mocks the conventions of stand-up. His comedy is often satirical, sometimes irreverent and always funny. Todd has toured with David Spade and Louis CK, recorded several albums and headlined comedy clubs across the country.
He's also no stranger to television. Todd was one of the house finalists in the NBC reality series "Last Comic Standing 2," and he returned for "Last Comic Standing 3: Battle of the Best." He has been on "The Sarah Silverman Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Showbiz Show with David Spade," "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn" and "Politically Incorrect." Recently, Todd has appeared on "Tosh.0." And he was a guest on "The Daily Show" in 2014, promoting "The Todd Glass Situation," his memoir about his three-decade career.
Todd's live performances (including appearances at the famed Montreal "Just for Laughs Festival" and the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival) have generated rave reviews from major publications. The Los Angeles Times praised his "freewheeling style and quick wit," while Variety noted Todd is "crafty and sharp-edged." Todd currently resides in Los Angeles.
Jesse Joyce started his comedy career in Pittsburgh in 1998. In 2001 he made the move to New York City and has been earning a reputation as a rising star on the comedy scene with performances loved by crowds around the world, and a writing style admired and respected by comedians at every level.
In television, Joyce has made appearances on Comedy Central's hit shows Comedy Underground with Dave Attell, the inaugural season of Live at Gotham and is a frequent guest on @Midnight with Chris Hardwick. He was a recurring panelist on History Channel's I Love The 1880′s, hosted Date Night for AMC, Entertainment Tonight, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno's "Pass The Mic," VH1′s Morning Buzz, Talk of The Fest from The Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, Stand-Up 360 with Caroline Rhea and Gotham Comedy Live on the AXS network. Currently, Joyce can be seen regularly on @Midnight on Comedy Central and RedEye on the Fox News Network where he brings his acerbic wit to bear on the events of the day.
In 2011 Stags was released, a feature film produced by Ben Barenholz of Raising Arizona, Barton Fink and Requiem for a Dream and starring Joyce, the dark comedy is about four New York City permanent bachelors, and is currently available on NetFlix.
An accomplished writer as well, Jesse currently writes for the hit Comedy Central show @Midnight. Also in 2014, in addition to performing on the show, he helped Dave Attell write his late night comedy series Comedy Underground with Dave Attell. Jesse also wrote for the 85th Annual Academy Awards on ABC hosted by Seth MacFarlane, The 2014 BET Awards hosted by Chris Rock, The 2013 Guys Choice Awards on Spike TV and he's a writer and consulting producer on The Jim Norton Show for Vice.com. But Jesse's writing is probably best known as a veteran of the last 10 consecutive Comedy Central Roasts. Starting in 2007, Jesse was the behind-the-scenes half of the long time Comedy Central Roast writing partnership with the late, great Greg Giraldo including the Comedy Central Roast(s) of David Hasselhoff, Joan Rivers, Larry the Cable Guy, Bob Saget and Flavor Flav. His roast writing talents were also utilized for the TBS Celebrity Roast of Cheech and Chong and success writing for the Comedy Central programs led to his being requested to write Comedy Central's Burned! The Roasts' Most Outrageous Moments and for The Comedy Central Roast(s) of Trump, Charlie Sheen, Roseanne, James Franco and Justin Bieber. Joyce's writing has been utilized by Joan Rivers on TV Land's How'd You Get So Rich? and in 2012-2013 he was a staff writer for both seasons of the popular The Burn with Jeff Ross on Comedy Central. His work in TV, Radio and Print advertising has won him several American Advertising Awards as far back as 2001. Jesse can be heard on the XM and Sirius Satellite Radio where his acclaimed CD Joyce To The World is part of regular rotation. His reoccurring appearances on the The Opie and Anthony Show now The Opie with Jim Norton Show and the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Morning Show, have become listener favorites and led to a featured performance on Bob and Tom's CD As Big As A Hat.
Jesse has entertained audiences across America as well as in 15 countries on 4 continents with his live show at clubs, colleges, and festivals. An established performer with the USO, he has performed overseas on numerous occasions. In addition to his busy club and college schedule, Joyce has appeared at the 2013 Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, the TBS Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and in 2008 was selected to participate in the Great American Comedy Festival a festival sprung of Johnny Carson's legacy. When not headlining clubs or performing all around New York City he can be seen in theaters as part of The Comedy Addiction Tour where comics bring humor and poignancy to the struggles of addiction.
Jesse resides in New York City with his dog Petey.
