Ice Nine Kills
Boston Rock/Metal act, Ice Nine Kills, burst onto the scene in late 2007 with the release of the experimental and lyrically tongue in cheek EP, The Burning. The band, who takes it's name from the classic piece of American literature, Cat's Cradle, by renowned satire novelist, Kurt Vonnegut, has always strived to blur the lines between melody and unbridled aggression. After a successful stint on 2009's Vans Warped Tour, INK headed into the studio to record Safe Is Just A Shadow, the follow up to The Burning EP. Safe is Just a Shadow was released in July of 2010, to coincide with another run on The Vans Warped Tour. After the massive success of a Kickstarter campaign in which the band raised over $22,000, The Predator EP was released in early 2013 to much praise from old and new fans alike. This undeniable heat the band had created landed them on both the 2012 and 2013 additions of The All-Stars tour opening for metal heavyweights like Suicide Silence and Every Time I Die; as well as another stint on the The Vans Warped Tour 2013.
The success of The Predator EP, fused with an impressive touring résumé, provided INK with their biggest break yet; being the first band signed to Fearless Records' brand new imprint label, Outerloop Records. Building on the success of the last year, the band released their highly anticipated new album, The Predator Becomes the Prey, which debuted at #3 on the billboards heatseeker's chart and #13 on the billboard hard rock charts. The band followed up the release with a nationwide tour alongside metalcore scene stars Attila. For the Summer of 2014 INK was invited to perform on the entirety of the Vans Warped Tour on the highly coveted Monster Energy Stage. The founder of Warped, Kevin Lyman, was so impressed with the band that he bumped them up to the Main Stage for an entire week of the tour- having them play alongside some of today's biggest names in punk and metal music.
With over five years of unmatched determination, the culmination of five Florida musicians' effort is ready to be unleashed. Guitarist/vocalist Cody Quistad and guitarist Seth Blake met in high school when they discovered that they shared musical interests, and started jamming soon thereafter. In 2013, the duo encountered vocalist Briton Bond and, shortly after, bassist Chris Gaylord and drummer Stephen Kluesener were incorporated into the mix. The line-up alone of Ocala, Florida's Wage War sheds a more-than-welcome light on the importance of a solid foundation built upon evolving musicianship. Wage War marks their territory with from-the-heart lyrics and thrashing beats that transcend to a community who understands the trials and tribulations of growing up all too well.
In fact, Wage War IS that community, as Quistad explains, "A lot of the themes in our songs are about growing up to be a productive person, and dealing with the real things that can happen in life and coping with circumstances that could be problematic,"says Quested. "The first single we're releasing, 'Alive,' is an anthem to all the naysayers out there that are always talking about our generation being a bunch of losers."
Blueprints, the band's debut album co-produced by A Day To Remember's Jeremy McKinnon along with Andrew Wade, resounds with all of the tension and ingenuity of its creation. The band delivers 11 tracks of uncompromising multi-dimensional metalcore, filled with high-intensity rhythms, battering drums and blazing guitars, tempered with tuneful vocal passages. Crushing breakdowns alongside a combination of roaring and melodic vocals prove powerful enough to level a small village. Yet, Wage War aren't focused solely on destruction.
"The goal of Blueprints was to establish a foundation," Quistad says. "It';s our first record and our first chance to show people what we're about. So we really went all out to deliver the best songs we could possibly write and play them to the best of our ability. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised."
My Enemies & I

The band will be going into a new album cycle going into 2015 when they hit the road with Close To Home, Sycamour, and Lionfight.
