Bumper Jacksons are hot and sweet, painting America's story from New Orleans' brothels to Appalachian hollers. Recognized as DC's "Best Traditional Folk Band" at the 2013 and 2014 Washington Area Music Awards, the Bumper Jacksons are playfully creative with their originals and re-imagining roots music with both power and tenderness. Bursting at the seams with some of the richest threads of old America, Bumper Jacksons bring you into the center of a party where everyone's invited and the dance floor never sleeps.
From the rugged northern New England landscape comes a formidable trio of musicians – The Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio. Their debut EP, Still She Will Fly, features the multi-genre depth of Heather’s songwriting, their intricate instrumental arrangements, and stirring three-part vocal harmonies.
Underhill Rose, the Asheville trio of women that has become synonymous with fresh, beautiful Americana music, recently released their third album, The Great Tomorrow. Molly Rose Reed, Eleanor Underhill, Salley Williamson each wrote songs, and play different instruments. Robust, deep, and dreamy are words to define the album, and it was a standout on the Americana chart. “We wanted to showcase our growth as writers and singers, and this album demonstrates how we have matured.” Cruz Contreras of the Black Lillies produced the album.
