The Barbara Bush 'Crossroads Comedy Festival' Fundraiser

Barbara Bush

Barbara Bush is an all-female sketch group of BFFs-slash-writers-slash-performers from Philadelphia. Barbara Bush performs at venues across Philadelphia, and members of Barbara Bush perform in sketch and improv house teams at the Philly Improv Theater. In November 2016, Barbara Bush premiered "The Body Show" at Good Good Comedy Theatre, and they have since performed it at the 2017 Toronto Sketchfest, 2017 Women In Comedy Festival, and the Peoples Improv Theater (NYC). Barbara Bush previously performed at the 2015 Crossroads Comedy Festival and 2016 Philly Sketchfest, and members of Barbara Bush have performed at the Chicago Sketchfest, Out Of Bounds Comedy Festival, Pittsburgh Comedy Festival, and Charm City Comedy Festival. Recently, one Barbara became an emo internet hero after protesting outside of Trump Tower using signs with Dashboard Confessional lyrics on them (it was Shawna).

Barbara Bush is comprised of Jolie Darrow, Julia Hudson, Courtney Painter, Nicole Zeits, and head writer Shawna Stoltzfoos, and is directed by Jacquie Baker (The Flat Earth, The Incredible Shrinking Matt & Jacquie).

Nicole Yates

Nicole is a stand-up comedian and the host of the DidjaEat Podcast. She is also the co-creator of the Black Friday Comedy Marathon at Philly Improv Theater (PHIT).

While growing up, Nicole fell hard for her first love: comedy. Always the funny kid in the group, when she finally rolled up onto the stage, it fit like a glove holding a ham sandwich. She has performed in clubs, bars and shady shows all over the Northeast as well as Chicago & LA and also appears in web videos when the occasion arises. She appeared in the web video "Samesies" and recently had blink-and-you'll-miss-it part in the Comedy Central Webseries Pilot "Delco Proper". There is nowhere to go but up, as long as there is decent pizza there. And possibly a burger or two.
