In1996 got his first b bender telecaster which would eventually lead him to write and record a ground breaking CD called "Mescal Mary and Other B Bender Guitar Instrumentals" which received notable reviews in many national publications including "20th Century Guitar." His freelancing work on stage and in the studio has given him the opportunity to work with many stars including Jessi Colter (with whom he recorded tracks for her "Out Of The Ashes" CD - produced by Don Was). His most recent CD “All Night Long” continues to be a fave among Americana radio stations around the country.

Mike has gained an enthusiastic following for his "story songs" and has been a finalist in many songwriter competitions including The Tucson Folk Festival, The Sierra Songwriters Festival, The KRCL Songwriting Competition and The Lake County Folk Festival Songwriting Competition.

Kenny Thompson

You probably know Kenny Thompson from at least one of his countless gigs: with David Bromberg’s superb original 4W5 Sessions, The Benders with Steve Black and Marc Moss, Marlboro Music Fest finalists Cross Fork, on the Media Blues and Roots Rambles schedules, encouraging players of all levels at his open stages, or sitting in with Sin City and other local favorites throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware during the past three decades. He is a masterful pianist, guitarist, singer and occasional songwriter whose strength is Americana and Country-tinged Blues.
