Daniel Goldstein is Lane 8. Born in California, the Leipzig-based 26-year-old has been named a ‘Future Star’ by Pete Tong and is redefining house music with his unique, cross-genre approach.
What sets Daniel apart from the crowded dance music scene is his ability to craft music that succeeds both in the club and on the iPod – a skill that has landed him an unusually wide range of DJ support. When you consider that everyone from The Magician to ODESZA, from Above and Beyond to Annie Mac have heavily supported his music, you can see why the Anjunadeep-signee has been named one of the “top 25 trail-blazing producers” by inthemix.com.
Releases with Anjuna, including “Diamonds,” “Be Mine”, “The One / Nothing You Can Say” and “Every Night,” have repeatedly topped the Hype Machine charts and garnered BBC Radio 1 support from Pete Tong, B. Traits, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe. Daniel is the only guest artist to ever release music on French Express, while official remixes for Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, and most recently Odesza have shown his knack for appealing to both mainstream and indy audiences, in addition to his deep house base.
‘Rise,’ Daniel’s debut artist album, will be available worldwide via Anjunadeep on July 17. Presales for the album are now open. http://www.lane8music.com/ The music video for the most recent single “Ghost” was recently premiered by Noisey. http://noisey.vice.com/blog/premiere-lane-8s-video-for-ghost-featuring-patrick-baker
Bradley Exum, better known as the producer and DJ they call MPHD, is creating a buzz that cannot be contained. Characterized by his efforts to achieve a blend of techno styles that can appropriately be described as Gastrobass, MPHD's sound naturally takes on a life of its own. With MPHD, hearing is believing: Until you've seen one of his DJ sets, listened to one of his meticulously crafted productions, or been possessed into a dance frenzy by one of his remixes, you haven't seen his power in the the musical underground. With more productions to come, and more dancefloors to take over, MPHD's proving to be one to watch out for.
