After receiving heavy local airplay from their debut EP "Embrace" and opening for such national acts as Primus, Gogol Bordello, As Tall As Lions and Mae as well as putting miles on the van hours with regional tours, Akron Ohio's Kaleidoscope Rock band Maid Myriad is back with their blend of dynamically versatile songs, angsty progressive riffs, delicate pin drop moments and intense start/stop dynamics. Led by protagonist songwriter JCK, Maid Myriad packs more genres into a band than most. Blending their love of progressive, psychedelic, punk, ambient and acoustic music, the soaring vocals mixed with intricate drums and spacey crunchy melodic guitars bond together to form the plethora of sounds that is Maid Myriad. After releasing two critically acclaimed EPs, and being named Akron's 2nd best local band in 2010 (behind The Black Keys, respectively.) the boys are currently at work on their first full-length record due to be out in February 2013 on Akron, OH label Diskette Records.
The Fine Constant
The band formed in early May when Sarah Longfield reached out to her compatriots in an attempt to begin performing her solo material in a live setting. Within a just few short weeks the line-up was solidified. Months of touring, writing, and collaborating are soon to follow.
Autocatalytica is a metal project put together by Eric Thorfinnson, the ex-Lead Guitarist/songwriter of the Late Ex-Kathedra. After assembling the first album "Circadian Rhythms" alone in early 2009, Eric Moved to boston to attend Berklee College of Music. Since then he has recruited members to fill out the spaces originally occupied by himself and computers, allowing Autocatalytica to evolve into a full-fledged armageddon factory. The group is currently shedding away at their yet to be named EP and will be playing shows again in the spring of 2011 as well as releasing siad EP by this June.
