Doomtree

Doomtree is a collective of Minneapolis rappers, DJs, and producers. Their fierce family ties and DIY ethic have helped establish the group as one of the most powerful forces in underground hip hop. Members of Doomtree have worked and lived together since they were kids—sharing money, homes, colds, gear, and stages across the country. They've showcased at SXSW, toured annually with the Warped Tour, and earned enthusiastic reviews from Urb, Pitchfork, Okayplayer, and CMJ.
The collective gained national attention for the intensity of its live show, and for its increasing musical range. The Doomtree catalog has already endeared the collective to fans of punk and indie rock, as well as rap purists. The anthems are victorious, the storysongs are full of dream and intrigue, and the bangers reset pacemakers. Doomtree's most recent self-titled album capitalized on the momentum that members built as solo artists. It held the #1 slot on the CMJ charts and caught some love on the iTunes and YouTube charts too. In the summer of 2009, emcees Cecil Otter, Dessa, Mike Mictlan, and Sims will be touring the West Coast, backed by DJ Paper Tiger and super-producer Lazerbeak.

Lushlife

From his modest South Philly recording space, Lushlife has been quietly crafting some of the most inventive and well-regarded hip-hop records of the last few years. His 2009 full-length debut, Cassette City (!K7/Rapster) was a critical success, finding the emcee/producer/multi-instrumentalist generating waves of blog-buzz for deftly marrying chamber pop bombast with his forward-thinking brand of '90s boom-bap. With featured guests like Deerhoof, Slum Village, and Ariel Pink, Cassette City made countless year-end lists, and Lushlife followed suit by bringing an astonishing one-man live show to stages across North America and Europe in 2010. With a hotly-tipped mixtape in the works, and a new EP being readied for the fall, Lushlife is poised to further build his unique brand of whatever it is he does in 2011.

F. Stokes

"F.Stokes is a voice that is needed in this current era of Hip-Hop. His stories make you feel as if you've shared the same pains and triumph's that he's experienced. I personally find this incomparable to anything I've heard before. I find that to be a good thing. " - Ernest Estime, The Source Magazine

F.Stokes music depicts the stark and brutal realities of the impoverished urban experience. However, F.Stokes chooses not to glamorize the circumstances of his upbringing. Rather than capitalizing on the misconceptions of the modern black experience that have begun to dominate the hip-hop landscape, F.Stokes provides thoughtful insight into the plight of black men in our nation's largest cities.

Through vivid imagery and skillful wordplay F.Stokes reinterpret the thematic traditions of the soul and blues movements for a new generation of music fans. Beneath F.Stokes undeniable talent as a lyricist, he is driven by a deep sense of responsibility to promote progress and compassion with his music.
