Zoë Sundra is a Brooklyn, NY based folk singer currently promoting her self-released debut album, Death by Love Songs (2010). Recorded in Brooklyn at Sterling Audio Studios, she and producer Brendan Tobin (of Made out of Babies) worked to tackle the difficult but universal question, “Why didn’t he call?”
After getting a degree in sculpture and performance art in Boston, Zoë moved to NYC and began to revisit songwriting and performing in a more traditional setting. After 2 years of creating songs she decided to pursue music and performing full time.
Lauren Diamond is a polished singer/songwriter based out of the Manhattan, New York area. Many of her listeners refer to her as “the girl who stomps her feet and sings with passion.” Lauren is from Tampa, Florida and has sung on cruise ships, restaurants/lounges, theatre & film and then moved her way towards the New York City to further develop her strong sense of style in the folk/acoustic genre inspired by Jewel, Norah Jones and Sarah Mclachlan. Miss Diamond is a self-taught guitar player of 8 years and has taken voice training since 13 years old. The development in her craft has been a continual journey that remains endless. Some of her training includes: Broadway Dance Center (one on one vocal coaching), a minor in Music from Montclair State University and many other vocal coaching with different techniques and concentrations. Lauren has well over thirty songs of copy written material consisting of all original pieces. Miss Diamond just made recent debut on the INS & OUTS magazine and was reviewed and interviewed my managing editor Audrey Dimola. You could watch the videos at insandoutstv.com. Lauren’s currently focusing on performing at as many places as she can to get herself out there and tied into the music community. Some of Diamond’s hot spots to perform at are: The Waltz, The Quays, LIC Bar, Hennesseys, Smiths Bar, Orchard 77, Baggot Inn, Connelly’s, Kelly’s, La Negrita, Café Vivaldi, The Back Fence, Blackbirds, Boite Café and many other guest appearances at other venues. This coming month Lauren will be appearing on a radio show for Rewbees World Commercial on Arizzma radio.com which is based out of Manhattan, performing various gigs all over the New York area and coordinating a four artist’s solo project of her own which will be kicking off for May 13th in Brooklyn. Lauren is living her dream each time she steps on stage and only plans on climbing higher towards her vision.
The Lesser Ghost was formed in late 2009 in the cramped confines of a walk-up apartment in New York's East Village. What started as an outlet for singer/songwriter Ben quickly evolved into a polished outfit, thanks to the creative collaboration of four co-conspirators that now form the band's backbone: Ryan Monk (drums), Ari Winters (bass), Aaron Windfield (keyboards) and Jack Elsey (guitar). With... intricate orchestrations, lush vocal harmonies, and soaring guitar solos, the five piece band weaves earnest lyrics and hooks through meticulous arrangements. The Lesser Ghost has developed a strong local following, playing to enthusiastic crowds in NYC's Lower East Side (Pianos, The Living Room, Crash Mansion) and throughout the Northeast. The band has already begun work on their follow-up to this spring's debut release.
Aaron and Andrew combine the musical landscapes of Snow Patrol and
Coldplay with the lyrical optimism of the Fray and traces of the Postal Service's electronic sounds.
Their music has had national radio airplay charting number one in several college markets along with being featured on the television networks CBS,MTV, E! and Oxygen. Former American Idol contestant Shaun Barrowes selected the band’s song “Heart” to cover for his YouTube series “Live for Music TV.”
Supporting their new album Aaron and Andrew are performing both as a four piece rock act and an acoustic duo. They can be seen playing at colleges, listening rooms and clubs in the NYC area. They’ve previously shared the stage with artists Pete Yorn, Nine Days, and The Low Anthem.
“To Be Brave” is Aaron and Andrew’s third album, preceded by “Pictures and Words” (2008) and “Don’t Go” (2006).
We write songs about coming up short but making it home on time; human weakness, animal strength and love saving the day. The sounds we make are inspired by dirty streets and freshly laundered sheets. Red velvet concert halls and well lit shopping malls
The Killing Floor combines the best of British and American rock music to form a truly unique sound that’s both powerful and impassioned. Displaying tight musicianship and strong songwriting, TKF mixes the best of hard rock with the melodic flow of indie and alternative rock.
Hailing from both sides of the Atlantic, The Killing Floor consists of brothers Mark and Oliver Alberici from London and Marco Argiro and Chris Bunatta of NYC. The band came together in 2009 after meeting at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in NYC. They have toured the East Coast of America and have also completed successful UK tours, playing to sold-out crowds and gaining early support from the BBC and other various UK radio stations. After recording their debut self-titled album in 2011, The Killing Floor secured Hollywood legend Joel Schumacher to direct the music video for their rock anthem “Star Baby.” The video is currently in post-production and will be out soon.
