90s sounds refracted through a thoroughly modern aesthetic. Tracks that are serious about moving a dance floor full of people without coming on too strong. Breezy California vibes touched by a twist of European flair and an air of mystery. This is what Le Youth is about.

Wes James is the slightly enigmatic Angeleno behind Le Youth, a producer without a past whose music is steeped in it. His signature sound is a blend of Clinton-era R&B and the house music that was lighting up dancefloors and radio stations around the globe during the same period, and the leisurely grooves, airy synthesizers, and pop hooks of a song like his debut single “C O O L” can easily pull a listener back to the pre-millennial, pre-Internet days when dance music offered a transcendentally blissful brand of hedonism that’s considerably harder to find on today’s aggro-edged EDM landscape.

Viewers of the new video for “C O O L” (directed by Renata Raksha) who know their 90s music will likely pick up on the influence of a number of cultural touchstones from the time: chart-topping crossover club acts like Technotronic and Black Box, house divas like Robin S. and CeCe Peniston, and R&B icons like Aaliyah and Ginuwine, as well as a visual sensibility that evokes Herb Ritts in his role as video director to the decade’s biggest pop superstars. It’s got retro style while maintaining completely contemporary feel that’s free from gimmicks and offers stylishly relaxed relief from the ongoing onslaught of dayglo-tinged dubstep.

Le Youth’s already attracted the attention of tastemaking dance music bloggers and tastemakers, and his music has already topped the charts of one of dance music’s most exclusive barometers, Hype Machine. His next move? Nothing less than defining the sound of summer 2013.

Solidisco is the fastest growing name in disco house music. With a fresh recipe that revitalizes the classic house sound with today's musical trends, it's no surprise they're gaining popularity at unprecedented speeds. The duo has DJed club nights alongside heavyweights such as Diplo and Steve Aoki, their records have been supported by the likes of A-Trak and Laidback Luke, and have been heard on the airwaves of BBC Radio One. The trademark Solidisco sound was born when the two met DJing in their local area of Buffalo, NY. Since then they've quickly earned numerous Beatport chart positions, releases on some of the best labels in the industry and captured the ears of the biggest tastemaking DJs in the industry. With a original sound that beautifully walks the line between modern and classic, the Solidisco sound will be sure to move a dancefloor near you.

There are plenty of DJs who are masters at giving people exactly what they want. After all, it's kind of their job. In tiny barroom dance floors with dim light and swanky ambiance, Kedd Cook gives the crowd a little bit of what they need.

There are plenty of DJs who are masters at giving people exactly what they want. After all, it's kind of their job. In tiny barroom dance floors with dim light and swanky ambiance, Kedd Cook hopes to give the crowd a little bit of what they need. That means introducing a diehard dance crowd to established headliners such as Tim Green, Lee Foss, Aeroplane, Maxxi Soundsystem, and Jesse Rose, to name a few for which he’s been in direct support of. These are the types of acts that most small clubs and indie promoters would kill for, not only for their notoriety, but for their musical influence. Kedd Cook, born Ian Alexander, knows that choosing quality, intellectually adept dance music only makes him and his weekly residences more distinctive. Working with tastemakers who play both digital & vinyl rare tracks, everything from old funk soul to deep house, and techno Ian has learned the ability to peg artists who can throw down rare and different forms of electronic music you don't normally hear at big clubs. Kedd likes to keep a fun, upbeat dance vibe while simultaneously pushing the envelope with music that's different from the norm.

Life after being named 2010 Best DJ by OC Weekly has been good for the Newport Beach native, who grew up in a family where he says, “money was tight.” The 27 year old has been throwing underground warehouse parties since 2007 and has been the resident DJ at La Cave's infamous hipster dance night on Wednesdays since 2009. His reputation in the industry has steadily increased playing at some of the highest ranked venues and festivals in California. Even after performing at Sound Nightclub, Exchange LA, Avalon, Pacific Festival, Wet Electric, and Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival Wide Awake Cart in 2012, his success hasn't reached full swing.

Alexander locks himself in the studio focusing on music, fashion & design. "I want to try to find my own sound and produce something that I will appreciate for the rest of my life." Kedd is working on releasing his own EP, but holding out for the right major dance-music label that will best cultivate his creative vision. "Everyone goes through phases, and as long as you keep an open mind and are always on to the next thing, then that's where you will be happy, I'm going to find something constantly that will blow my mind and draw me in that direction."

San Francisco native Templeton is relentlessly evolving and crafting his sounds. He currently lives in Los Angeles, influenced by what the ecclectic city has to offer him while carefully fine-tuning his skills as a producer, accomplished musician and DJ. His style draws inspiration ranging from the Italo Disco classics his parents played during his youth, to the catchy bass lines and minimalism of 90s House. His current love for Nu Disco and Indie Dance, matched with the influence of modern Australian and UK artists, infuses a distinct mood into his tracks. It’s immediately clear that Templeton is not a new face to production, with a keen sense for detail and professional polish on everything he releases.

The last few years have seen Templeton establish a core fan base and a steady growth in his production quality and knowledge. In 2013, he capped off his releases with a debut single ‘Search’
that landed a spot on Spainish tastemakers Y Este Finde Qué’s ‘Summer Compilation 2013’. The following year saw the young producer making waves with widely received remixes of Banks,
Goldroom, Just Friends, Boys Get Hurt, and most notably Blondfire’s Walking With Giants, which received over 50k plays on Soundcloud and hit top 10 on the Hype Machine charts. He ended
the year with a massive remix of The Soundmen’s summertime jam ‘Bermuda’ which also found its way on the Hype Machine charts. 2015 marks a breakout year for this budding producer with the
much anticipated release of a brand new original, ‘Better Represent’, along with a host of remixes and
collaborations to come.

On top of his success in the studio Templeton has also spent plenty of time performing at high level. His tenacity early on in life was apparent as he saw the fruits of his athletic labor take him to the professional stage playing baseball for the New York Mets organization in front of 10s of thousands of fans on a weekly basis. This invaluable experience elevated his awareness as his performances improved exponentially and prepared him for music’s biggest stages. He has toured across multiple
timezones from Snap Chat’s NYE party in Los Angeles to the Dominican Republic for an exclusive event called “Grappa after Midnight” which saw the likes of Boy George and other international DJs grace its doors. He has played with some of dance music’s rising stars including CLMD, Strange
Talk, Yuksek, Plastic Plates, Chrome Sparks, Reflex and much more. Venue’s like Lot 613, Bootleg Theatre, 800 Main, The Wilshire, and V Lounge have all been hosts to Templeton’s
electrifying sets leaving their dancefloors wanting more.
