Black Taxi (10:00)

BLACK TAXI is one of NYC's most prominent live acts, smashing an anything-goes punk ethos together with pop sensibilities, unparalleled energy, and brilliant songwriting. The result is a raucous stage show, heavy on harmonies, spitfire guitar licks, body paint, and all manner of instrumentation. Their style has been described varyingly as "grit-pop" or "dance punk", and though their songs hint at the Talking Heads, Cake, and Daft Punk, they are driven by something entirely new and infectious.

BLACK TAXI songs can be heard on radio stations from Maine to California, accompany hit TV shows, provide the soundtrack for film, and hit the airwaves on commercial airlines. They debuted on the CMJ Radio 200 at #180 and quickly rose to #110, putting their 2012 release "We Don't Know Any Better" the #2 spot for self-released albums. Their music video "Shoeshine" was an Official Nominee for the Webby Awards, and their most recent video "Hand" debuted on AOL Music.

BLACK TAXI's first full-length offering Things of that Nature received strong reviews in publications throughout the country. For their second full-length album they returned to The Bunker Studio to record with Aaron Nevezie, who has worked with Grammy nominated acts like The Black Keys and Danger Mouse.

BRAEVES (9:15)

Hailing from Long Island, BRAEVES creates music that seems to personify a blissful illumination, harmonizing melodies that inspire. They inhabit an alternate universe -- the unlikely union of the basement and the astral plane with each song being its own winding journey. Their blend of Soulful Indie Rock and Pop is reminiscent of bands such as The Shins and Grizzly Bear.

The band started with long-time best friends Ryan Colt Levy and Derek Tramont, experimenting through the years with different styles and sounds. It wasn't until they were joined by Thomas Killian McPhillips IIV in late 2012, where they began crafting a unique sound they can call their own and found themselves working on their next release.

At the start of 2014 the band joined forces with Producer Mike Watts (As Tall as Lions/The Dear Hunter) to record a new E.P. entitled "Drifting by Design", which will be released on September 9th. Now with new guitar player Nick LaFalce, they are now making a push to get back on the road to represent their most imaginative work yet.

The Motor Tom (11:15)

We are The Motor Tom and we make dumb music for smart people. We want to put New York City into a blender, crush it into a powder, snort it and bleed it out in front of our friends, family and strangers.

Our music is about those things that are both exhilarating and crippling; those things that we see and feel through the mundane rituals of life in NYC.

The subway: a technological marvel and an emotional blight.
The buildings: symbols of ingenuity that block out the beautiful sun.
The pulse: the most exciting way to drain your will to live.

Such is our course in music: entertainment for the people, expression for the self. We are The Motor Tom and we are professors of the Idiotique.

We've licensed our music to commercials and web serials; our EP entitled "Tracks" is on iTunes, Spotify, et al; our debut LP produced by Gregory Lattimer (Albert Hammon Jr. "Yours to Keep") is due out Summer 2015.
