The Perennials are an Indie/folk/rock band based out of Brooklyn, NY. The band formed as a duet with Pete and Amanda Wells and then soon expanded with drummer Aaron Hamel. Although additional members have come and gone, the three have remained the core.
Their unique sound capitalizes on strong, vocally driven melodies layered with harmonies and supported by intricate guitar lines, hard hitting drums and delicately understated piano pieces.
Steve Salett (The Poison Tree)
Steve Salett (The Poison Tree) makes music that could easily have been found on some old reels of 1/2" tape buried under a mattress in the Chelsea Hotel. With powerful song craft and a world-weary bass-baritone voice, Steve celebrates the salad days of the singer-songwriter. But it is more than a dust-covered ode to the ‘70s; the music is flush with colors, ideas, and a unique bent threaded through every line and every song, each one written with the sole intention of piercing the heart.
