Nat Osborn Band, Nicky Egan

Described as “irresistible” by Consequence of Sound, Nat Osborn “writes smart, punchy tunes that blend old-school Gershwin-era song craft with decidedly modern sensibilities” (Popdose).

Osborn was born in and lives in New York City. The city’s endless energy is in his blood, whatever part of the world he’s performing in. Nat’s style is, like New York, an eclectic mix of influences though you can be sure that passion, soul, and honesty flow through each note and lyric.

Largely known as the leader of the international touring act Nat Osborn Band, he’s also a compelling and accomplished solo performer.

Expect to hear a unique blend of old school soul, inventive and masterful piano playing, powerful vocals, and tinges of jazz, broadway, and even classical all centered around smart, catchy pop songs and a captivating voice.

Nicky Egan, originally from Philadelphia, spreads her love for music through a sound that blends elements of soul r&b and rock. Phillyburbs.com describes Egan as a "soul songstress". With her influences ranging from Etta James, Sarah Vaughn and Janis Joplin, to The Beatles, James Brown and Joe Cocker, Egan drives her performances with memorable songs, young energy and a positive message. Since Nicky Egan formed her band in 2007, they've played throughout the east coast, and have traveled West, playing shows from LA to Santa Cruz. They've shared a bill with other soul acts such as Boston's Eli "Paperboy" Reed, and London's Sam Bradley. Currently residing in Philadelphia, Egan recently graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production. Her band is entertaining crowds between Philadelphia and Boston in venues such as World Cafe Live, the Tin Angel, NYC's S.O.B.'s, Le Poisson Rouge, The Lizard Lounge and House of Blues Boston. Egan just released her debut album, a 12 song LP, produced by Egan and her band-mate Johnny Simon Jr, released January 7th, 2011.
