Jimmy Gnecco + Members of OURS
Jimmy Gnecco is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and frontman for the band OURS. He was signed to Dreamworks in 1997 and OURS' first record 'Distorted Lullabies' was released in 2001 and produced by Steve Lillywhite and Gnecco. Their follow-up record 'Precious' was produced by Ethan Johns and was released in 2002. For their third record they would sign with Rick Rubin's label American Records. Gnecco teamed up with the production genius of Rick Rubin for 2008’s release ‘Mercy’ (Columbia/American). In 2010, Gnecco released his highly anticipated self-produced first solo acoustic effort, ‘The Heart’ and followed it in 2011 with the release of ‘The Heart: X Edition’ in which Gnecco built upon the intimacy of his solo album with a lush full band version of the record. OURS finds new ways of creating modern masterpieces by following up ‘Mercy’
with a re-inspired and resurgent self-produced release ‘Ballet the
Boxer 1' in 2013. The new album builds upon the moody, soulful and epic sound captured on ‘Mercy,' but with a greater sense of urgency that transcends the music’s emotional pitch. In the spring of 2014, Gnecco completed 10 tour dates in support of Lana Del Rey. Ours and Gnecco have received worldwide acclaim from critics and fans for their live shows and for Gnecco's dynamic voice and songwriting style, and both have developed a cult-like following that continues to grow.
The Fleeting Ends
The Fleeting Ends are a group of Philadelphia native musicians that have formed and reclaimed the name with original lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Matt Vantine, along with new members Lauren Davish (vocals, percussion), Dan Mullally (drums), Dino Petaccio (keys), and Tim Ferguson (bass).
The new combination of members, including added instruments like the keyboard and tambourine, has set the foundation to revisit and even surpass some of the success that The Fleeting Ends achieved in the past, like playing Philadelphia’s XPonential Festival, opening for acts such as Bob Dylan, My Morning Jacket, and Wilco, and receiving rave reviews from MAGNET, NPR, and MSN Music.
