Born in Castile, NY into a home exploding with creativity, Ddendyl expressed an affinity for music from an early age. With some help from her parents, she essentially taught herself to expertly play the piano and violin, but it was her classically trained voice that spotlighted the promising young talent during adolescence. Competing for her attention, it was the illustrious Interlochen Academy in Traverse City, Michigan that she choose to further her study into music in her teen years. While there, her operatic overtones were appreciated by students and teachers alike as she expanded her range to include a signature brand of jazz and folk. The singer now described as sultry found her place during her college tenure in Miami and made the move to Los Angeles to chase the her dream. While in California she explored a career in acting and modeling which eventually led to an offer to move to NY and pursue her true passion of music once again. Ddendyl is performing regularly around NYC and the DC area sharing her original compositions along with her versions of both contemporary covers and classic standards. She was on season 6 of NBC's The Voice on Team Shakira!
Lyle Divinsky, a.k.a. The Sasquatch of Soul, "doesn’t front: he sings soul and R&B, and that’s that. There are no tags or modifiers needed: his music is pure and honest. His focus is so spectacular that his originals sound like instant classics...” (Todd Richard, The Portland Phoenix). Hailing from Portland, ME, Divinsky moved to the delicious apple just over 3 years ago, and has been crooning his way into the hearts and hips of the 5 boroughs since. With a new album on the way featuring some of the baddest musicians in soul behind him, there's no limit to how far this Sasquatch will go. To quote NYC blogger/music aficionado, Sami Promisloff, "Lyle Divinsky is the minister of soul and master of babymaking music for ALL TIME... and scene."
Throughout his short time on earth Jonathan has been given opportunities to perform and record with Grammy award artists and producers such as Regina Bell, Tracy Pierce, Richard Smallwood, and many more. His opportunities have mostly come through his background work with gospel artist Rashad McPherson & DivinePURPOSE, his father-Stellar nominated, Ronald Hoard, and alma mater, Berklee College of Music. Moreover, his gift has allowed him to travel to Europe, Canada, and, most recently Puerto Rico. Most importantly, his skills as background member has cultivated his leadership skills as visionary of J. Hoard & The Greenhouse People, a band that formed to popularize a movement into soul pleasing, awakening music whom has now opened for artists such as Dwele. In conclusion, Jonathan Hoard is a background singer, songwriter, vocal arranger, and teacher who is crazy about music and head over heels for life.
